Cast Up A Highway

Grace empowers us to go beyond our natural ability, empowers us to walk as Jesus walked. We have His nature. How did Jesus walk?

He, Jesus, walked in amazing godliness and purity. We must cleanse ourselves from everything unclean and become completely holy. Grace allows it. Pursue holiness, a product of God’s grace. We excuse ourselves saying 'well Jesus is God, of course He walked in holiness.'  We on the other hand are human ~ yet if we have invited Christ to live in us, then we receive the grace empowering us to live as Jesus did on earth

2 Corinthians 6:1 AMP

LABORING TOGETHER [as God's fellow workers] with Him then, we beg of you not to receive the grace of God in vain [that merciful kindness by which God exerts His holy influence on souls and turns them to Christ, keeping and strengthening them - do not receive it to no purpose].

Grace empowers us to serve God acceptably. Do not waste grace.

2 Corinthians 7:1 TPT

Beloved ones, with promises like these, and because of our deepest respect and worship of God, we must remove everything from our lives that contaminates body and spirit, and continue to complete the development of holiness within us.

II Corinthians 6:6-9 We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. 7 We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. 8 We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. 9 We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed.

God ~ Grace empowers us to live this life.

Acts 4:33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all. Great grace gives great power. Jesus healed the sick (and raised the dead).

Sometimes my mind gets filled with things of the world. Then I need go to my God and pray: “Lord, my God, You are great, high and lifted up! You are the light of the world! You are the light on my path that guides my life. Thank You my precious Lord! I love You. Give me wisdom to get rid of distractions. I want time with You. Help me use my time wisely and without distractions.because sometimes my intentions start out good, but end up empty. Help me Abba, I miss You.

God will lead us into the storm, and He will give us the power to overcome. God is NOT the Author of tribulation, but God will train us in areas He knows we need strength. Jesus will return in the power of the Holy Spirit. Believe in Him and suffer for His sake. The greater the battle the greater the victory. Jesus’s seed is in me and He is the greatest warrior ever!

Ephesians 6:10-12 Message

And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. (Ephesians 6:10-20)  And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

We use God’s weapons!!

Corinthians 10:3-4 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.

4For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

We have power to fight till the battle is won. There’s no doubt we will win, because the Word says we are always victorious in Jesus!

1 Corinthians 15:56-57

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Count it all joy when we go thru troubles remembering God is not the source of them. But He will use them if we agree and we will grow stronger thru them.

Know the enemy's goal: to kill, steal, and destroy!! Jesus comes to bring us joy in abundance ~

John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)

James 1:2-8 TPT

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. ...

The Scriptures teach us the right perspective ~ keep our eyes on Jesus and the Word and know God is here to help us attain our victoey in every struggle!

                                        AWESOME GOD

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
