THOUGHTS FROM THE PAST

Posted on April 20, 2021 at 4:30 AM

Sometimes I like to go back and see how God revealed His glory to us a few years ago:

Reflections from 2017

[ME: Holy Spirit, You are mine, You indwell me as my Lord and my God; You come to help me to live the life I was born to live. I’ve been looking at You with a certain exclusivity. . .yeah, like You are MINE. But I don’t own You; rather You own me. I am Yours to do with as You will. You are my God who loves me with a perfect love. I trust You. I love You too.

Isaiah 43:18-19 AMP      “Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.

And He brought new church leaders to us revealing Himself in new ways

2 Chronicles 20:6-9,15-17

“Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. 7 Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? 8 They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying, 9 ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’

And the Lord responded:

15-17‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

We remember that sometimes the battle is God’s and we must just take our positions and stand. What is our position? It is: faith entrenched within us, obedience to His Word a given, trust in God firmly in place, belief in His promises sown into the fabric of who we are. We stand staunchly in place and watch our God work.

“Because His existence is first and your existence flows forth from His. That’s the flow of existence. Therefore, you must put GOD first and then let everything flow from that. Let everything begin with Him and flow forth from Him. That’s the secret of life. To not only live for Him, but to live your life from Him, to live from His living, to move from His moving, to act from His actions, to feel from His heart, to be from His being, and to become who we are from who He is… I am.”

********************A Prophecy from Kenneth E. Hagin**********************

October 14, 1970

Walk not in your own strength nor be strong in your own power, for the strength of man is as nothing, and the power of man is even as the grass that withers and falls away. But be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His power for the Lord is the Almighty One.

Yea, He is the one that brought into being out of nothing, the earth on which you stand. He is the one that brought into being out of nothing the sun, and the moon, and the stars. Yea, He is the one that delivered His people from the hand of Pharaoh. He is the one that divided the Red Sea.

Yea, He is the Mighty One.

Be strong in Him and in the power of His might, so He’ll rise up in thee and show forth Himself mighty to work on your behalf.   Yea, ye shall find that there shall be strength within you that you never knew you had.

Ye shall find that there shall be wisdom on the inside that shall rise up out of your inner most being and pervade your mind until  you’ll know the right course to take and the correct steps to make the right decision.

And ye shall be guided in all the affairs of life.

For the Lord is thy guide. And He is thy portion forevermore. So bring your thinking into captivity. Every thought and let your mind be stayed on Him. And in the midst of stress and in the midst of strife when all the world around about runneth rife, ye shall live in the God life. Yea, ye shall rise up in the strength of the Lord and speak the Word of Faith, and it shall come to pass.

Ye shall even speak unto the heavenly messengers, even the angels and say, “Go ministering spirits.” And they shall go and minister on your behalf. For power and authority is given unto the individual member of the body of Christ. For what belongs to the whole body belongs to the least member of that body.

Take your place, stand your ground, and accept the challenge. Do not wait for Satan to come and challenge you. Go out to challenge him and put him on the run. For remember that it is written and this is not just a pun. But it is the holy sacred Word of the heavenly writ. Resist the Devil and he from you will flee, that is run from you as one in terror. So be not terrified, nor afraid. But put the enemy on the run. And ye shall be victorious, everyone.

SEARCHING FOR A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD

                                        AWESOME GOD

 DIGGING DEEPER

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
