The Living Word. It is amazing how God’s Word, the Bible, transcends time and space. Its truth speaks to every person who chooses to hear it, and all in very personal ways. See everyone is made different, and has different life experiences, so God can speak truth to them for their own life. In this blog I am sharing how a Bible verse became a personal message from God to me. It may well touch a cord n your life as well:

John 9:1-5 (The Message) True Blindness

Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, "Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?" 3-5 Jesus said, "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do. We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent Me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over. For as long as I am in the world, there is plenty of light. I am the world's Light."

Another version of this Bible verse:

John 9:1-5 (NLT) Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”

3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. 4 We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the One who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. 5 But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.”

John 9:4 Other manuscripts read I must quickly carry out the tasks assigned Me by the One who sent Me; still others read We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent Me.

These are the Scriptures You gave me this morning Holy Spirit. John 9:1 says:  As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth." You were just walking along, Jesus, and happened to notice a man blind since birth. You did not go looking for him. He was in Your path and You noticed him. Father God opened Your eyes to Him. You always did what the Father told You to do; I ask You to help me notice people in my walk who need help, and who the Father points out to me. Holy Spirit You are so good to be with me and help me to be aware of Your will for me. Thank You!

Then, Jesus, You performed a miracle. OK, Holy Spirit, You want me to share Your promises in the Bible where You did miracles, then I can, if You tell me to,  pray for miracles for those You put along my walk, or answer any need they have as You reveal it to my spirit. Verse 4 says: We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the One who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. or as the Message Bible says: Look instead for what God can do. We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent Me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over. There is an urgency here. I must quickly carry out my assignment before the night comes. Holy Spirit, what night is this? Is it a time in coming history; or is it death? Then Jesus says: 5 But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.” or “For as long as I am in the world, there is plenty of light. I am the world's Light." So as long as Jesus was/is in the world, He provided the light. When He is not in the world there is darkness ~

Jesus it is our job to bring You into the people’s world so they have Your light to live by. Point them out as I walk Your assigned path. Put Your love and passion into my words as I speak about You.

Lord, our walk is clear. Our spiritual assignment is to follow Your will. Lord as we grow please help us keep in close touch with Your Spirit. Allow Your light to flow through us. My indwelling Holy Spirit, You are the Light that guides me; You answer my prayers and are such a wonderful help! I love You!

Good morning Lord! I love You! Thank You for loving me! Guide me throughout this day leading me always in Your will. Thank You!

John 15:1-10 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the Gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. You Father are the Gardener. It is for You to prune me to bear much fruit. I trust You to prune me and to keep me protected from all the evil works of the enemy. I am cleansed by the Word. But I need grace to bear the pruning. I know You will never take me past what I can bear.

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in Me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Lord, You indeed are the vine that nourishes, allowing us to grow when we are attached to You. . .  spending time with You, reading and studying Your Word, talking with You daily, being open to Your guidance. In these ways we remain ‘attached’ to You. You feed us and help us to grow in our knowledge and relationship with You.

8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Jesus we choose to be Your disciples and follow You to the best and fullest of our ability.

9 “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in His love.” Yes Jesus we will accept and follow Your will and remain in Your love. We love You Jesus!

Jesus, You are the Alpha and Omega and before You, I bow down. You are King of Kings and I love You and serving You. Your will is my will. Holy Spirit guide my thoughts and actions.

Lord this year is totally unique for us, and so figuring out how to proceed in our walk throughout each day is challenging. My perceptions are to trust YOU AND HAVE NO FEAR. I believe Your guidance is instructing me to build on love. Practically speaking that would be to approach all as an instrument of Your love allowing it to flow through me, yes open the ports and let it flow ~ re-establish a caring relationship with those with whom it has been broken. Look for ways of serving others. FIGHT AGAINST TEMPTATIONS TO BE OFFENDED. The enemy has been using ‘offense’ has a way of splitting up people; satan’s program of hate has been very successful.

Lord, Your love is so powerful! There’re ways of defending ourselves and our nation from hate. Show us weapons we can develop to successfully combat it. As one single person there are some things we can do. As Covid 19 has been used to separate us from each other, the gap between us has widened. Love can close that gap by reaching out and speaking with love. Look for ways of helping others; wherever you can speak love, do it especially on social media. Become an agent of caring and affection. Fear nothing, for God has us. We can affect our world for good, but we must DO and not sit passively and complain, or be afraid. Love is the weapon to fight evil and hate. Promote love, stand, and act!  See this verse:

2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

As I sit at my computer this morning and speak to You Holy Spirit, I pray to live in continual awareness of Your Presence in me, of You being the leader and me being the follower. I have given this body over to You to use. As I sat here and prayed, the screen on the computer went dark, as it does to save energy when no activity is happening on it. As we walk through my day, there are times when awareness of You in me ‘goes dark’, that is, I am not consciously aware of Your Presence. So I want more of You... to be more aware of You all the time.

You created us so that our minds are single focus. They cannot think of two different things at the same time. So when I am thinking and performing my job at the hospital, I am not thinking of You. Perhaps it is that You, through me, are doing the job at the hospital. When I give You my self wholly, You can operate in me that way. So it is not me doing it, but You are doing the work. So my awareness of You is there, I just do not need to think with my conscious mind about You. We are not separate, but one as Jesus and the Father were/are One. And You Holy Spirit are of that oneness as well. So when I give myself wholly to You, in a way we also are one.

John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Jesus prayed for you and me:

John 17:20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in me and I am in You  May they also be in us   (here Jesus prays directly for us)

21 (?) that they may be one as we are one— I in them and You in me

 Message Bible John 17:20-23

I'm praying not only for them
But also for those who will believe in me
Because of them and their witness about me.
The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—
Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
So they might be one heart and mind with us.
Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me.
The same glory you gave me, I gave them,
So they'll be as unified and together as we are—
I in them and you in Me.
Then they'll be mature in this oneness,
And give the godless world evidence
That you've sent Me and loved them
In the same way you've loved me.

Father, create in me correct understanding of Your Word. Reveal to me the message within the message of the Word. Allow truth to inhabit me. Show me how to be the person You purposed me to be.

Feelings are not reliable. I feel unworthy of Your Love my Lord. Yet I am Your son/daughter. So You love me. . .  because I am your child. It is nothing I achieved, nothing I earned, it is what/who I am. Thank You Lord! You Jesus have clothed me with Your righteousness, because I have accepted Your gift; Your death paid the entire price for my sin, changed my sinful nature to Your godly nature. Now I am worthy to come before the Father, to interact in love with Him, to sit on His lap with His arms around me, to be enfolded in His love. Because You changed my nature, I am now able to walk indwelled by You ~ You can indwell me because I have accepted Your gift Jesus and am capable of being holy. . . that is consecrated for Your work to show the world that You loved them enough to die for them. Your indwelling Presence flows through me as I give my life to You for Your use. Now I am rambling. I love You.

Thank You for the sunshine warmth of Your love! In it I feel cuddled in safety and caring, comfort, and contentment. I rest in this warmth of Your  Father ~ love.

In these days of chaos and uncertainty, the enemy is throwing around its fear weapon ~ sickness and death, financial stress, stay home-isolate yourself; the enemy is using people especially in media to promote fear and keep it alive. 'Covid 19, the silent enemy that hides waiting for the unsuspecting to strike and kill'. It is a flue bug and will be defeated!! Yet because of it, a weapon was raised up to cripple our country and bring more misery on the world’s most desperate. But listen to Jesus' words:

John 10:10       The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

The thief Jesus speaks about is  satan, an evil spirit who seeks our destruction. Do not think Covid is just a disease of the flesh; the devil seeks our very souls. But Jesus has/is our  weapon. He defeated satan 2000 years ago. He is our strength today!

We do not need to fear, we have a mighty God who loves us and will protect us. Trusting Him will bring peace overcoming fear. Look at some of His promises in Psalm 91:

Psalm 91:1-13 (The Message)

You who sit down in the High God's presence,
spend the night in Shaddai's shadow,

Say this: "God, you're my refuge.

I trust in you and I'm safe!"

And when we do this, His Words cover us~

That's right—He rescues you from hidden traps,

      shields you from deadly hazards.

His huge outstretched arms protect you—

      under them you're perfectly safe;

his arms fend off all harm.

Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,

not flying arrows in the day,

Not disease (like Covig 19) that prowls through the darkness,

not disaster that erupts at high noon.

Even though others succumb all around,

drop like flies right and left,

no harm will even graze you.

You'll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,

watch the wicked turn into corpses.

Yes, because God's your refuge,

the High God your very own home,

Evil can't get close to you,

harm can't get through the door.

   He ordered his angels

to guard you wherever you go.

   If you stumble, they'll catch you;

their job is to keep you from falling.

You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,

and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

Speak to God in faith~

My mighty God! You protect me. I come to sit in Your presence, rest in Your shadow. I trust in You, my God, for You are my refuge. With You I am always safe. You protect me with Your huge outstretched arms, for Your arms fend off all who would try to harm me. Trusting in You, I fear nothing~not flying arrows in the daytime, not evil in the night. I do not fear disease for You are my rear guard, the glory over my head, and no harm can reach me. You are my refuge. To You I can always come, be welcomed and refreshed. YOU are my very own home. You indwell me. As Jesus said, me in You and You in me. Jesus prayed for me ~ I look at these next verses:

John 17:15, 20-23(NIV) My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one.

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you ~ may they also be in us

so that the world may believe that you have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and You in Me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.

Do you see it? Jesus is praying for you and me! What does He want? ‘Lord, bring us to complete unity, that we may be one. Unity ~ us with each other, but even more that we may be one in God. I desire to be one in You Lord ~ is that not what the indwelling is? You in me / me in You? This does not mean that "I am God" as some claim; it is me submitting myself to Your will, inviting Holy Spirit to live Your life in me; then I am not alone, only me, rather I am two ~  my spirit being joined with Your Spirit.   Bring my conscious mind to the point of awareness of this Presence every moment. The world needs to know You sent Jesus, Your Son, Father, so that we could be saved for all eternity, because You love us with a completeness unknown by the human heart. In the fullness of Your love Father, our goal is for all to live in Your powerful love!

In looking at email this morning I came across this Global Prayer Alert Network. It was so good that I decided to share it. See what you think:

GPAN 6/12/20

Pastor Tim…

Good morning, everybody. Welcome. . . .  I believe that you’re going to be blessed. I just want to remind you of all the goodness of God. No matter what you’re facing or what you’re dealing with, or what you’re going through, God is good. He loves you. He cares about you. He knows what you’re going through. And He’s got exactly what you need. So just look up, because He is where our help comes from. He never, never fails. He said He would never leave us, never forsake us.

Hebrews 13:5 Amplified Bible

Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”

He’s always for us, never against us. He’s faithful. And His mercies are new each and every morning. Isn’t that good news? God is so good. Maybe we should start this morning by singing about the goodness of the Lord.

Sing ~  I love You, Lord… Your mercy never fails me… All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands… From the moment that I wake up till I lay my head, I will sing of the goodness of my God… You are good and Your mercy endures forever… ♪

That’s what they sang when King Solomon dedicated the temple. The Bible says when all the choir and the instrumentalists and the priests and the congregation all lifted up their voice together, they sang “For the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.”

And when they came into one accord and sang that and gave praise out of their hearts to the Lord, it says the glory of the Lord came in such a manner they couldn’t even stand in His presence. So in spite of our circumstances and in spite of how we feel, when we just lift up our hearts and praise and declare the goodness of the Lord,

I’m telling you, He delights in that. He delights in our praise. Because we’re choosing to overcome. To overcome our circumstances… to overcome our feelings. And we’re making up our mind that we’re going to praise God because He’s good and His mercy endures forever.

When we lift up our praise, the enemy has to flee. God moves on our behalf. He comes in like a flood and blesses us. Moves on our behalf. Changes and rearranges things. The enemy has to flee. He cannot stand in His presence. It shuts the devil up. Whoo! I’m telling you, praise changes things. Praise will change your circumstances. God will take what the enemy meant for evil and He’ll turn it around for your good.

If you’ll just release your praise to Him, you just lift up your heart, just praise Him this morning and declare the goodness of the Lord, He’s going to move because He’s always moving even when you can’t see it. He’s moving. Even when you don’t feel it, He’s moving. Because that’s who He is and that’s what He does. He’s moving on your behalf.

What a good word!! Are you in a circumstance that feels hopeless? Is desperation leading you? My friend, turn your eyes upon God; He loves you completely, and He alone can help you. Not only can He, but He will. Trust Him. What have you got to lose? To God, you are His beloved child! He is just waiting for you to come to Him. Even if you've done wrong, He loves you! Talk about it all to your Father Who cares for you.

Have you watched your teens and their friends decide to smoke pot? or cigarettes? Do you like their friends? What are they learning in school? Are you comfortable with your very young ones being taught sex in school; not only regular sex, but LGTB sex and having that philosophy being explained and being labelled a good choice? And how comfortable are you with your kids being told they can choose what sexual orientation they want as though God made a mistake.

If you are not happy about this, you had better be praying... I am really concerned as I watch the enemy trample through the minds of the next generation. He has many helpers and groups and teachers who are either currupted in their minds or deliberately wanting to steal our kids from God's ways.

Seems the enemy is using its deceptive evil going after our kids of all ages.  We call upon You Lord to save our children from the enemy. We know You love our kids even more than we do. Your Word promises that You will take care of them:

Praying for Rebellious Ones

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God In the face of Christ. . .

Isaiah 9:2 (TPT)

2 Those who walked in darkness[a]
have seen a radiant light shining upon them.[b]
They once lived in the shadows of death,
but now a glorious light has dawned![c]

Isaiah 9:2 See Isa. 8:20

Isaiah 9:2 Just as darkness and night have boundaries (Gen.1:4), so the Lord will cause gloom to end and the shadows to flee. He is the one who says, “It will last this long and not a day longer.” God begins in darkness and brings darkness into the day. The darkest thing in us will be bathed in his glory-light.

Isaiah 9:2 See Isa. 55:8; Matt. 4:15-16; Eph. 5:8. This glorious light includes Jesus’ teachings, his miracles, and his pure life lived before the Father. Jesus Christ is a light of rescue for the lost, comfort for the hurting, wholeness for the broken, and escape for the captive. It is the light of joy, the light of revelation, the light of deliverance. Jesus’ birth signals an end of night and the beginning of morning.

Lord, we pray, beam forth Your light out of the darkness and into the hearts of our kids; let Your truth shine, and enter their souls bringing illumination and revelation to them.

Isaiah 8:20  (TPT)

20 You are to answer them: “Listen to the teaching and instruction of the Lord! If their speech does not line up with his word, they will have no light of dawn![a]

Isaiah 8:20 Or “dayspring.” The implication for the believer is that we will have a “dawn.” The light of dawn is the hope of Jesus Christ that grows inside of us.

The path of the righteous is like the light of a sunrise shining in the eastern sky. From dark to dim to bright, it increases (Prov. 4:18). In times of calamity, make sure you quiet your heart and seal up the Word of God in your soul. The dawning of Christ’s glory is coming. For us, the early rays of morning light are already shining.

WE know these things about our God:

Parents and intercessors ask, "Lord, what do You want for this young generation?" Surely God's answer is that they inherit the promises promised to the descendants of His servants. Let us peruse some of His Word:

Deuteronomy 7:9 (Amp) Know, recognize, and understand therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, Who keeps covenant and steadfast love and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations,

Psalm 33:11 (NIV 2010) But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 112:2 Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.

Isaiah 41:4 Who has done such mighty deeds,
summoning each new generation from the beginning of time?
It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
      I alone am He.”

Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour out water to quench your thirst
and to irrigate your parched fields.
And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants,
and my blessing on your children.

 Isaiah 54:13, 17 NLT

I will teach all your children,
      and they will enjoy great peace;

54:17 NIV no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and this is their vindication from me,”
   declares the LORD.

Claim this promise:

Isaiah 59:21 NIV As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit, who is in you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the LORD.

Acts 2:38-39 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, and to your children, and even to the Gentiles—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”

Eph 3:21 NLT Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Thank God for every righteous forerunner of the next generation. In general, young people today are being opposed to a degree that perhaps the world has never seen. The adversary of their souls is waging spiritual battle for the lives of an entire generation. Those whom the enemy cannot extinguish by abortion he is intent on stealing, killing, or destroying at younger and younger ages.

If you have a beloved rebel who is resisting the grace of God, your most urgent assignment is to pray for him or her, that they will withstand the enemy's assignments against them:

Lord I beseech You, Your Word promises You will bless them and not allow the enemy to have them. I call on Your promises:

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 112:2 Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.

       ************************Part 2 *********************

WE MUST PRAY that our children will receive the incredible love of Father-God for them, Who does not wish any of them to perish. First, we need to pray this prayer for our own rebel wills, so that we can intercede from humility. We are all children of Adam, and our Intercessor sees our hearts that are prone to stray from Him. An old hymn sings our prayer, "Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wand'ring heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Here's my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above."

Pray strongly this way:
Holy Father, we know that we are not fighting flesh and blood. The Lord Jesus Christ has all spiritual authority in this battle for the spirit, soul, and body of our chldren.

The issue is who will rule them: the Lord Jesus Christ or the king of lawlessness. The adversary is prowling around seeking to devour them, but we pray that they will be self-controlled, alert, resisting him, standing firm in the faith

(1 Peter 5:8-9 NLT) We pray Lord, that our beloved children will stay alert Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil.

1 Peter 5:8-9  (NIV)

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

From my position as priest in their lives, because I have authority in Jesus' name and blood, I command the enemy assignments against them to cease. I rebuke passivity, blindness, rebellion, and evil influence that would cause them to fall into errors of judgment, wrong choices, or outright sin. I take all curses and vows in force against them and our family and nail them to the cross of Jesus Christ

(Col. 2:13-15 NLT) You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.,

Galatians 3:13-15 The Passion Translation (TPT)

13 Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written:

“Everyone who is hung upon a tree is doubly cursed.”[a]

14 Jesus, our Messiah, was cursed in our place and in so doing, dissolved the curse from our lives, so that all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon even non-Jewish believers. And now God gives us the promise of the wonderful Holy Spirit who lives within us when we believe in him.

Colossians 2:13-15 (TPT)13 This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp.[a] But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins!

14 He canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all—our sins, our stained[b] soul—he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam[c] has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.

15 Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power[d] to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his![e]

(Ps. 91:10-13 Message) Yes, because God's your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can't get close to you,  harm can't get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go.  If you stumble, they'll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling.  You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

(Luke 10:19 AMP) Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

Now we stand and pray as Your Holy Word instructs:

I stand against ancestral, generational, and familiar empowerments. I plead Your covering of grace and mercy over all their present and past involvement in sin, iniquity, and rebellion that could give the evil one legal ground to affect or control. I pray for holy conviction of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, I renounce and break the power of false loyalties and sever soul-ties with anybody who is not sold out to the true and living God.

ask the blood of the Beloved Son of God to judicially deal with and destroy the works of the evil one, thereby closing the doors to demonic harassment.

Heavenly Father, Jesus in us is greater, and we pray for our Captain of the Lord's host to expose the schemes of wickedness and defeat its tactics. Protect our pokice officers with a heavenly guard of angels. Dispatch warring angels to fight this battle under the command of our Lord Jesus, the Ancient of Days and Captain of the Lord's hosts

From my position as priest in my children’s lives, I bless them in Jesus' name.  I pray that they will hunger and thirst for righteousness. Strengthen them in the Lord and cause them to order their life under the Lordship of Jesus. Establish them in godly wisdom and the fear of the Lord. Train them in the discipline of the Lord that will yield holiness and the fruit of righteousness. I ask for your favor to rest on them.

We claim the promises of Your Holy Word:

Isaiah 49:25 AMP For thus says the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away, and the prey of the terrible will be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will give safety to your children and ease them.

God, You commanded light to shine out of darkness. Please shine into my  rebel's heart to reveal Your glory in victory in their life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

                  GLOBAL PRAYER ALERT NETWORK CONTINUED

Continued Praying…

  • We have entered into the new... You are faithful
  • You are the same today, tomorrow, and the days after that!
  • No, we are never stepping back, for we have entered into greater days
  • Yes, we believe in You, and we will operate at 100% in victory!
  • Victory is ours in the name of Jesus

  • We declare from glory to glory, from change to change
  • Father, we bring this declaration before heaven this morning, and we receive it today, Lord
  • Do not sit down or go back – for things are looking up, and they are getting better
  • We declare that in Jesus' name, things are going in the right way

  • The anointing has been given to each and every one of us
  • Thank You, Lord, we believe that things are being shaken up today
  • Hallelujah, the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever!
  • The enemy has been defeated, and we have been lifted up
  • Yes, we will continue to call those things that are not as though they are now

A Word of the Lord came forth

The church is here to stay; the power of the Holy Ghost is working to a greater degree in these days, for these are days of great change, and these are days where mysteries will begin to be revealed like never before, and hidden things will become greatly known all over the earth, and what the enemy meant for evil, will be completely destroyed and turned around and used for the Lord’s own good!

Seems like some things were put on the shelf as far as vision, as far as things the spirit has revealed unto you in days and weeks or maybe even years past. These are the times, and the days, and the hours right now for you to take that back off the shelf and dust it off, for the words that I have spoken unto you personally, must be believed for what they were and what they said to you. And you must take it literally in these days of victory.

And it will allow you, it will actually direct you to command things like you have never commanded them before. It will stir you and get you up in a place where you will not be satisfied with what is happening in your race.

But you will rise up and declare, no this is what the Father said, this is what the Holy Spirit said, this is what the Word says. And I have overcome through that precious blood and I have won and these are my testimonies today that I have literally, actually stepped over and into some new uncharted, unusual days here in 2020.

These days of the coronavirus are days the enemy is fighting widely to fling its evil in every directiion from individual doubts and emotional flare ups, to family conflicts, to riots in cities, and nations and the world. These are the days we must be aware and awake to its demonic warfare. Be not fooled by its subtle ways of injecting its malevolence into our lives. One tip is to get plenty of rest, for emotions can get uncontrolable when we are tired. I know my husband and I rarely fight, but if we get caught when both of us are tired at the same time, angry emotions can flare up over stupid stuff. So be sure you take good care of yourselves and your families during these perilous times and forget not to pray which is an excellent weapon!

Keep close to His Word and practice it.

Stay close to the Lord. Do not skip your quiet time appointments with Him. Remember what the Word of the Lord said above: The church is here to stay;

"the power of the Holy Ghost is working to a greater degree in these days, for these are days of great change, and these are days where mysteries will begin to be revealed like never before, and hidden things will become greatly known all over the earth, and what the enemy meant for evil, will be completely destroyed and turned around and used for the Lord’s own good!"

So be joyful in all things recalling that Jesus has overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil. He is our glorious King, and His Holy Spirit has come to indwell us and is leading us to where we need to go, and what we need to do. We are not left alone to make these important decisions. WE have supernatural help!!

Psalm 19:7-10

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

(8) The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes.

(9) The [reverent] fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. (10) More to be desired are they than gold, even than much fine gold; they are sweeter also than honey and drippings from the honeycomb.

11) Moreover, by them is Your servant warned (reminded, illuminated, and instructed); and in keeping them there is great reward. (12) Who can discern his lapses and errors? Clear me from hidden [and unconscious] faults. (13) Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then shall I be blameless, and I shall be innocent and clear of great transgression.

(14) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 24:3-10 The Passion Translation (TPT)

3 Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord?[a]
And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place?
4 Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure,
whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth,
those who never deceive, whose words are sure.
5 They will receive the Lord’s blessing
and righteousness given by the Savior-God.
6 They will stand before God,
for they seek the pleasure of God’s face,[b] the God of Jacob.
Pause in his presence

  • Footnotes:
  • Psalm 24:3 Or “hill of the Lord.”
  • Psalm 24:6 The Hebrew is plural (“faces”;).
  • Psalm 24:9 The Hebrew text says, “Lift up your heads,” which is a figure of speech for rejoicing. We are the living gateways who rejoice as the Lord draws near to us from his temple

This is a favorite Psalm of many. It can brings us His peace in this troubled time:

(Psalms 23:1-6 AMPC) The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. (2) He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. (3) He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. (4) Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

(5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. (6) Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

The famous 'burning bush' of the Bible caused Moses to change his focus from the sheep, for the bush was burning but not consumed.  Reinhard Bonnke uses this strange phenomenon as an example of what our churches should be today.

Taking Action by Reinhard Bonnke;” "he founded a minietry called Christ for All Nations, becoming the inspiring visionary who always spoke of “plundering hell to populate heaven,” a dedicated preacher who saw “signs following” as the necessary evidence of the power of the Gospel to save, heal, and deliver.   He is credited with millions of salvations!
This is a writing by him.

If a church at least burns for God, it will attract notice. When churches are models of decency, decorum, conformity, and correctness, nobody says, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight”     (Purple colored print are Bonnke's words)

It’s true is it not? A big fire gathers everyone’s attention The same is true when there is a spiritual blaze, people stop and stare and often are hungry to be in closer commune with God.

(Exodus 3:1-3 (NIV)        Moses and the Burning Bush

3 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”;)

Bushes should not burn, and many supposed churches should not burn either! If they do, somebody will look for a fire extinguisher. A church that burns is not normal. It is spectacular, and people stop to look. Some who stop will be like Moses and hear the voice of God, though others will be deaf. However, that is where God separates the people of the past from the people of the future.

The past spelled Egypt, bondage. The fire spelled freedom, adventure, and life. People are not seeking perfection but fire, warmth, and passion. Churches may look opulent, popular, and, successful, but I think of Peter and John. They had to confess, “Silver or gold I do not have” (Acts 3:6). They were both too shabby to attract admiration, but they could continue, “But what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” They did not have any cash, but they did have God.

Fire made the bush the most famous bush that ever grew. Only Moses saw it, but nobody can forget it. Fire made it what it was, and it made Moses who he was. He was learned in all the wisdom of Egypt, but for all that he would have died a nobody, a dusty mummy in Egypt.

Yet he met the God of fire in the wilderness, and he matters today very much. Similarly, the disciples were unknowns, fishing workers, until the tongues of flame rested upon them, and soon they had turned the world upside down. They did not know themselves until the fire transformed them. Their fervor brought them persecution and plenty of verbal abuse, but they are remembered and their persecutors are lost in oblivion. If any preacher hopes to be noted and remembered, let him be a burning bush.

The divided tongues brought an end to division. Even when they were following Jesus, the disciples vied with one another to see who should be greatest. After Pentecost, however, we read that they “devoted themselves… to the fellowship… All the believers were together and had everything in common… They broke bread in their homes and ate together” (Acts 2:42-46, NIV).

One fire was divided into many flames, yet each was the fire of God. They did not need two flames for double power. Those divided flames created a new breed of men-not clones of one another but one new race, a new people. One flame represented the entire fire of God. Andrew’s flame burned with a different color than James’s fire. John was still John, but he became a flame called John. Thomas became an on-fire Thomas. Flame people! People who have dwelt with the everlasting burnings cannot stand smoldering smoke. The disciples were called when they were like black candlewicks, but the love of Christ lit them. Candles in a box, tossed to the corner- but taken out and set alight, they lit up the world!

Adam and Eve are gone. Their ways are the past. We have a new covenat now with our mighty Lord God! He is the God who calls us precious children! He is the One who indwells us! We are the NEW! Let us pray:  O come Holy Spirit and light my soul on fire! We are ready to obey Your will and be who You created us to be!

Reinhard Bonnke was a great man of God! He has the same message that I have found in the last weeks … if you have been following these blogs. We are called to the flames of the Holy Spirit. . . remember Jeremiah spoke of fire shut up in his bones?

 Jeremiah 20:9 (AMP)
If I say, “I will not remember Him
Or speak His name anymore." Then my heart becomes a burning fire
 shut up in my bones.
 And I am weary of enduring and holding it in;
I cannot endure it [nor contain it any longer].

He could not help but speak the Words of God. They became a fire in his bones, and he could not hold the Words back; they had to come out; Is that not the way it should be with us? If we speak the full truth? Time is running out and there are many who need to be saved. Holy Spirit calls us; His flame is lighting the coals of our desire to follow God and His ways! Speak truth. Let our churches speak God’s Word in fullness, so all can come to believe Jesus and His Gospel. Let our churches be a raging fire to lead the way to salvation and peace and power. One match can set a forest on fire. It's the power of one. Reinhard Bonnke was one man, yet millions came to know Jesus through him.

How many have come to know God through you and me?

Dear Friends, There was a great sharing by the GLOBAL PRAYER ALERT NETWORK posted on May 18th  that fits in with our study of  what this Pandemic season all about. We know it is a spiritual time where God is revealing mysteries. We've found in Rees' INTERCESSION that the Holy Spirit is becoming more active in our lives and in our world. Now lets look at this sharing: This blog shows prophecies from GPAN that God has spoken:

Pastor Ray shared a Word of the Lord:

My ways are not the ways of man, the same each day, thought through and pre-planned. But just as grace is new each day, I’ll lead you in the way to pray. Don’t be shocked at what I’ll do, it just may be all new to you.

Don’t get used to what you know. There’s too much comfort there to flow. Be free from you and go with Me where mountains are moved spiritually. Command and send and prophesy—let your word rise and fill the sky.

Bind and loose as I have said, but by My Spirit, you must be led. There will be times when you will know the outcome of the prayers you sow in this life. Some prayers you’ll not know the miracles they have wrought. Again, you must have faith in Me. You can help bring the victory!

We are overcomers in, by, and through the precious blood of Jesus ..... Declaring Your word, today, Father

No, we are not holding back, but we are rising up in these last days......The church of the Lord Jesus must rise up and declare that this is the way it must be!

Things are moving out that shouldn’t be here. Your word is working in and through us today, Father

Victories are on the horizon, and we thank You for it, Lord....................   We worship You; Your mercies are new every morning

Thank You for the ministry of Your precious Holy Spirit

Hallelujah, we worship You and honor You.

There is power in the mighty name of Jesus

You are so faithful, and so good, we love You, Lord

A Word of the Lord came forth

You have now as the church, you have entered into different days, for as seasons come and as seasons go, now we have entered into a different season, and you shall know. For there has been, and there will continually be much greater outpourings that you will see.

In this season that you are in, the season that you desperately believed to step out of, you have stepped out today, and believe it with all of your heart, for those things that needed to leave, wave them goodbye because they are gone.

You have stepped in and over into a new season of greater days, a new season of more revelation about what was done for you individually, but what was done for you together with all other members of the body of Christ.

Pastor Ray shared from a Kenneth Hagin prophecy

The enemy would endeavor to steal from you the blessings of God. The enemy would endeavor and will invade your homes, or try to, your lives and marriages. But to be forewarned is to be forearmed. Intercede, pray against the powers of darkness. Don’t stop!

Don’t stop in your praying because things seem to change just a little bit. Keep on interceding until the full answer materializes or the entire burden lifts. Don’t settle for 75% victory. Don’t settle for 90 or 99% victory. But settle for nothing less than 100% victory.” Deliverance from all darkness!

Pastor Ray shared a prophecy from Kenneth Copeland on February 16, 2014 Things Are Changing

“I know,” saith the Lord, “that the pressure is on. I know that the forces of darkness have pressed and pushed and attempted to overcome not only this nation, but are trying to overcome My people all over the world. He [the devil] thinks this is his time because he understands that the time is so short.

And, yes, soon and very soon a major change is coming. Change, change—especially in the lives of those who are determined to live by faith, and for those who have made decisions of quality to walk in the commandment of love, and for those who are determined to say what they hear Me say,” saith the Lord, “and do as I direct and command."

For these are not times for you to fail. These are times for you to succeed beyond anything you’ve ever dreamed of before. So as you continue to walk by faith, as you continue to walk in love and kindness, as you continue to keep an ear toward Me and acknowledge Me,” saith the Lord, “every day, all day, everywhere you go, have it be somewhere I have directed you to go. I’ll walk with you in the small things. I’ll say, ‘No, don’t go in this way this morning that you usually go. Turn down this way. Turn down that way.’

For you see, I have blessings waiting on you at every corner, every way and every turn. And you’ll say, ‘My, my! What has happened? I’m so blessed. Things are changing. My family has come to the Lord. Things are changing, when just a little while ago things looked so dark, things looked so low and bad to me. But something is happening. Things are changing!’ Hallelujah!

“Things are looking up! For the momentum has swung in the other direction. It looked a long time like the enemy, the darkness and all of that dark kingdom had the upper hand, and the things were swinging for them that we just seemed like whatever we did just hit such opposition.

Ah! No! Oh no! No, no! Look up! Momentum has changed. It’s working for you. It’s swinging for you. My grace has begun to overcome and swallow up the opposition around you. And soon and very soon, sooner than you think, oh, sooner than you think, the big change is coming! I’m coming,” saith the Lord.

“Heaven is fully prepared. We’ve been preparing all these years to receive you and we are fully prepared. Heaven is ready. For the time is at hand. The trumpet is about to blow and we’re all about to go. So rejoice and be glad and declare the wonders of the Lord are at hand. For great is His Presence, great is His grace, and the best is yet to come.”

If you have not yet begun to start your day off with special quiet time with the Lord and His Word, let it begin today. CAST UP A HIGHWAY gives instructions on one way to begin a journal. This is one good  way to build relatiinship with God; it opens the door of communication. My friends, yes the time is coming nearer when we shall all be called to stand with our King.

Psalm 24:7-10

7 So wake up, you living gateways!
Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny!
 Welcome the King of Glory,
for he is about to come through you.
8 You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?”
The Lord, armed and ready for battle,
the Mighty One, invincible in every way!
9 So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice![c]
Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny!
Here He comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in.
10 You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?”
,  He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle,
the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts!
Yes, He is the King of Glory!
Pause in his presence

Last blog taken from Rees Howell’s Intercessor by Norman Grubb

My fiends, I believe this powerful book was pointed out to me by the Holy Spirit, for it is time for all believers to begin to know who this powerful Third Person of the Trinity is. We've grown up knowing the Father and the Son, Jesus, but our knowing of the Holy Spirit for many has been limited to a dove, or a spirit without personality and face. In this book  HIs authority and sovereignty are more fully revealed, His work unveiled.

(Intercessor continued)

"Even the grounds outside filled with His presence. Walking around together we would suddenly be conscious that we were speaking in whispers. The late hours came, but no one thought of bed - for God was there. It seemed to be a foretaste of the Holy City: 'There shall be no night there.' 2 and 3 a.m. often seemed just like midday as we communed together, prayed with some who were 'coming through,' or waited before God in the quietness of our hearts.

"His visitation lasted for some three weeks in this special sense although, praise God, He came to 'abide,' and has continued with us ever since. But no one has a monopoly of the Holy Ghost. He is God, and whatever our experience of Him, He is far greater than all we can know of Him. Whatever we know of His gifts, His manifestations and His anointings, He is greater than all those. In whatever way He has manifested Himself to us, we also recognize His mighty working in and though others. Increasingly we look to the Holy Ghost Himself, poured out on all flesh as Joel prophesied, through His prepared channels, in all parts of the world.”

Through this falling of the fire upon the sacrifice the Spirit had sealed to Himself a company of intercessors for every creature. Tutors and school teachers, doctors and nurses, domestic and office workers, gardeners and mechanics: their duties were varied but their commission one. Many of the students themselves remained on as part of this praying and working company. There are times in God's dealings with His servants when He sets apart for Himself not just individuals but companies - baptized, as it were, by one Spirit into one body for one God-appointed purpose - and this was now one of them.

This my friends is the last blog I am writing from the INTERCESSOR by Rees Howells. It is a powerful book and I hope some of its power has ignited the fire of the Holy Spirit in you as it did me. May you be blessed through this unique intervention of God into our time with an even greater out pouring of the Holy Spirit in you!  I love you.

It is the time of the Holy Spirit, the days when He will reveal Himself to the nations. My friends, we all know this is a strange season, one like never before. To everyone who seeks the Lord, He will reveal His truth. He has a purpose for each one of us, and He will open the eyes to new understanding for those who honestly seek Him.

More from the Reese Howell's Book Intercessor by Norman Grubb

"As those days of visitations went on, we were just prostrate at His feet. We had thought that there was some virtue in our surrender: that we, with thousands of others, would be the people to evangelize the world in this generation. But now He had come, and we were out of it - except in so far as our bodies would become the temples in which He would dwell and through which He would work. He said, 'I have not come to give you joy, or peace, or victory. I have not come to give you blessing at all. You will find all that you need in Jesus. But I have come to put you to the cross, so that I may live in your body for the sake of a lost world'     (Col. 3:3; 2 Cor. 4:10; Gal. 2:20).

Colossians 3:3  (TPT)

Your crucifixion[a] with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ.

Footnotes:Colossians 3:3 The Aramaic could be translated “Your death and your life are both hidden with the Messiah in God.”

 2 Corinthians 4:10  (TPT)

10 We continually share in the death of Jesus in our own bodies[a] so that the resurrection life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity.

Footnotes:2 Corinthians 4:10 Or “carry about in the body the death of Jesus.”

Galatians 2:20  (TPT)

20 “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine![a]

Footnotes:  The last sentence of this verse in Aramaic is plural, “us.”

"He warned us that the trials before this task was through would be so great, and the attacks of Satan so fierce, that 'flesh and blood' would never be able to hold out. He showed us that on the eve of the crucifixion, when the real clash came with the powers of darkness, it was only the Savior who stood. We saw every one of the disciples fail in that hour - in spite of all their surrenders, their vows and their devotion to the Master.

And looking into the future years - the darkness of the last days of this age, the final contest between heaven and hell for the kingdoms of this world - we could see only One Person who was 'sufficient for these things,' and He was the glorious Third Person of the Godhead in those whom He was able to indwell.

"One by one He met us; one by one we broke in tears and contrition before Him. From one after another rose the cry, as it did from Isaiah when he too 'saw the Lord': 'Woe is me for I am undone...unclean.' One by one our wills were broken; we yielded on His own unconditional terms. To one by one there came the glorious realization: He had entered, and the wonder of our privilege just overwhelmed us.

My friends, if you have never before experienced the Holy Spirit, it is time now. We have all been playing ‘Christian’, but until we fully experience His power in us, we will not comprehend the difference. it is now necessary to get more serious about our walk with God! Truly I believe we are living in the “last days” and the enemy wil get more active and stronger in its attacks. Without the Holy Spirit Presence in us, it will indeed be extremely difficult if not impossible to have victory in the battle.

Remember Peter lived with and loved Jesus, see what happened to him:

Mark 14:70-72

70 Once again, Peter denied it. A short time later, the bystanders said to him, “You must be one of them. You’re a Galilean, like he is, for your accent proves it!”[c]71 Peter cursed and said, “I tell you, I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”

At the same moment Peter spoke those words, the sound of a rooster crowing pierced the night for the second time. And Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken to him earlier: “Before the rooster crows twice, yu will deny me three times.” With a shattered heart, Peter broke down and sobbed with bitter tears.

We too will fail the Master without the Holy Spirit power of protection at work in us. But after the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit… the book of Acts tells that story

"The personal experience was great. We were new people. His Word became new. So often we had had to water down the Word to the level of our experience. But now the Person in us would insist on bringing out experience up to the level of His Word. We understood that crucifixion was a slow death, and that He would have much to deal with in us before He would really be free to do His work though us. But one thing we knew - He had come and He could never fail.

"But far greater than anything His visitation could mean to us personally was what it was going to mean to the world. We saw Him as the One to whom 'the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance.' On our faces before Him we could only say, from awed hearts, 'Holy Ghost, You have come to shake the world.'

"There was no excitement or enthusiasm of the flesh in those days. When His power had come upon us after March 29 we had been carried away and were singing and shouting out praises. But in these days we were so awed by the holy majesty of His Person that we hardly dared raise our voices in the meetings.

When we are“so awed by the majesty of His Person” we will know we’re close to comprehending Him.

Visitation of the Spirit

From the time of special dedication on March 29, 1936, when so many of the College (both staff and students) laid their lives on the altar as intercessors, the Spirit was at work in the College. The climax and consummation came in the New Year of 1937. It was the "Pentecost" of the College, from which they emerged, not a loosely-linked company of consecrated individuals, but a body in full sense of the term - a living, integrated organism, infused with one life and one purpose. Dr. Kingsley C. Priddy, M.B., B.S., D.T.M. &H., a member of the staff and later headmaster of the school, gives the following account of those days:

"In the Christmas vacation of 1936 much time was given to prayer. As we approached the new year of 1937 there was an increasing consciousness of God's presence. The first outward sign that He was working in a new way was when one of the staff broke down in prayer, confessing her sense of need and crying to the Holy Spirit to meet her. Then we heard how the Holy Ghost had so manifested Himself in the glory of His Divine Person to some of the girl students that they wept before Him for hours - broken at the corruption of their own hearts revealed in the light of His holiness.

"An awesome sense of God's nearness began to steal over the whole College. There was a solemn expectancy. We were reminded of the 120 in the Upper Room before the day of Pentecost. Like them, we only wanted to spend our time 'in prayer and supplication' - conscious that God's hand was upon us - conscious that He was about to do something. God was there; yet we felt we were still waiting for Him to come. And in the days that followed, He came.

"He did not come like a rushing mighty wind. But gradually the person of the Holy Ghost filled all our thoughts, His Presence filled all the place, and His light seemed to penetrate all the hidden recesses of our hearts. He was speaking through the Director in every meeting, but it was in the quiet of our own rooms that He revealed Himself to many of us.

"We felt the Holy Spirit had been a real Person to us before; as far as we knew we had received Him; and some of us had known much of His operations in and through our lives. But now the revelation of His Person was so tremendous that all our previous experiences seemed as nothing. There was no visible apparition, but He made Himself so real to our spiritual eyes that it was a 'face to face' experience. And when we saw Him we knew we had never really seen Him before. We said like Job, 'I have heard of Thee by the Hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth Thee'; and like him, we cried, "Wherefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.'

My experience happened one morning in my quiet time, when Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, "I love you, Mary". I knew He was speaking as the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. He is a person, and for the first time I realized that, and I knew the Holy Spirit was a real 'person' and He, the Holy Spirit,  loved me. When He spoke to me in His still small voice, I knew He was with me. He never leaves me; when I think of Him, I hear, "I love you." He has never left me, and continues to mentor me. It is indeed like a 'face to face'  time spent with Him. My friends, the Holy Spirit is more than a dove, or some whispy spirit; He is the Third PERSON of the Trinity;. Holy Spirit is powerful and wants to relate with us today.

"Many of us on the previous March 29 had put our all on the altar for the sake of giving the gospel to every creature. We had become willing to be any cog in the machinery that God needed to put that through in our generation. But now the Holy Ghost said, as Jehovah had said to Moses, 'I am come down to do it.' And we knew He was almighty as He was Holy.

"In the light of His purity, it was not so much sin we saw as self. We saw pride and self-motives underlying everything we had ever done. Lust and self-pity were discovered in places where we had never suspected them. And we had to confess we knew nothing of the Holy Ghost as an indwelling Person. That our bodies were meant to be the temple of the Holy Ghost we knew, but when He pressed the question, 'Who is living in your body?' we could not say that He was. We would have done so once, but now we had seen Him.

"Why had He manifested Himself to us in this way? He made that quite clear. It was because there was a work to be done in the world today that only He could do (John 16: No wonder the Master told His disciples not to move from Jerusalem until they had received 'the promise of the Father.' But when He had come, they would be His witnesses 'in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.'

That same messaage is for us today. Holy Spirit is revealing Himself more and more. You see, this pandemic is not just a happening. It was no suprise to God, and He is going to use it for His purposes; and Holy Spirit is coming down to do it. We are His warriors and we need to be in training to prepare us for the battles ahead. The enemy wants to use this virus for its plan ~ to destroy us: as individuals, as a people, as a nation.

God has His plan to save us as individuals, as a people, as a nation, as a world. WE are all called to pray for Holy Spirit guidance as to what our roles are in the battles ahead. Holy Spirit's power will give us the victory!

If you do not yet know the Holy Spirit, I encourage you to seek Him. Our God is passionately in love with us, and wants to help us become who we were designed to be. Fix your eyes upon our God, and know Him in a person-to-person relationship. Fear will never be able to consume you when you're in that companionship. You are never alone, and your leader is all knowing and all powerful! Victory is already won. Come do your part in it!

Holy Spirit

Occasionally I peruse my blogs and journals from the past,  and this time I came across a great book that I had read and found excellent. It speaks of the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity ~ the Holy Spirit. There seemed to be some worthy points to share, especially now; we are living in a very unique season, and God has a plan for us during it. My personal belief is that this is a term of the Holy Spirit. To many He is a mystery and not understood with any depth. Thus my sharing  beginning this morning will go somewhat deep. [first let me tell you that the Holy Spirit was also once known as the Holy Ghost. Somewhere in my lifetime, it seemed inappropriate and so was changed to much more truth, The Holy Spirit.]

from Rees Howell's book, Intercessor by Norman Grubb / speaking of the Holy Spirit:

. . . ”In His natue He was just like Jesus - He would never live for self, but always for others. We were people who had left all to follow the Savior, and had forsaken all we had of this world's goods to enter a life of faith, and as far as we knew we had surrendered our lives entirely to the One who died for us. But He showed us,

'There is all the difference in the world between your surrendered life in My hands, and Me living My life in your body.'

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice...' (Romans 12:1). It seemed as though we had never seen that Scripture before. He made it clear that He was not asking for service, but for a sacrifice. 'Our God is a consuming fire'; and if God the Holy Ghost took possession of these bodies, then His life was going to consume all that there was of ours.

I have come to the point in my life where my deepest desire is to be one with my Savior, and I thus could relate to this concept; not truly realizing with full comprehension of this commitment, I prayed ~

"Your life will consume all that there is of me. I’m ok with that, because that means what “I” do is really Your will, as You live in my body ~ my body is no longer mine, but Yours.  My thyoughts, my desires, my emotions all are included in the sacrifice. This I choose to accept." Whoa! Really?" That easy?

"We had often sung 'I want to be like Jesus,' but when we had the offer from a Person who is just like the Savior to come and live that life daily and hourly in us, we found how unreal we had been. How much there was in us that still wanted to live our own lives - that shrank from this 'sentence of death'!

We now began to see the meaning of the Savior's words in Luke 9:24, 'For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it.'

Oh my goodness, I just saw it. . . pride like a Pharisee had snuck into my thinking:  Oh “I am past that. I want to have You live in me; I will give up myself, my will, to You. Why see how wonderful I am.”

Oh Lord I am sorry; please forgive my haughty attitude. I repent my God. Give me Your mercy and grace to truly have a humble attitude. It is through Your training that I have any acceptable perspective at all. It is all You. Yes, Holy Spirit, I need You living in me, taking over my life. I bow before You humbly asking for Your intervention. You have been so good to me with encouragement, that I began to see myself as better than others.

My God that is so wrong! Help me BE right with You. Allow my innermost thoughts (even those I don’t know I have)  be transformed into humility, knowing I don’t deserve You. I am not worthy that You should enter within me; and in myself this is true; but, Lord, Your crucifixion and death and defeat of death has paid for my sins ~ all of them, so I am able to ask You to live Your life in me. Come, Holy Spirit, live Your life in me. I gladly submit to You and Your will.

Being very conscious of the fact that I'm no longer a spring chicken, I felt compelled to ask, "Can I do anything great for YOU? at my age? Lord I am willing. Help me to see what You would have me do". And the Holy Spirit inserted this Scripture  into my thoughts:

 Philippians 4:4-20 (TPT)

4 Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life.

Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One

5 Let gentleness[a] be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near.[b]

6 Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life,

7 then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.[c]

8 So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God,[d] praising him always. 9 Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.

Holy Spirit, thank You! You are so faithful to answer me! How marvelous is our God!!

Jesus, mighty Creator, God of all. Before You I choose to bow down, for You are so high! There's none like You! Majestic! Light of lights. Love personified, like none other. For You always were; You are the Alpha and the Omega! Mighty, enormous, immense, beyond my scope. Still,  being with You is like total peace in boundless love.

Good morning Lord! I am so delighted to be with You! My heart desires noting more than to spend time with You! You love us so much! You created a book (The Bible) to teach us about Yourself, and You even sent Your Son, Jesus, to suffer our due penalty, thus ransoming us, freeing us from satan's chains. He binds us no more. Jesus bought our freedom. Now we have the ability to choose Jesus as our gift of freedom and ask Him to be Lord of  our life, King of our Heart. He will raise us up to understand how kind and loving is our God. He is not some entity sitting above the clouds with a baseball bat ready to punish us for wrong decisions. Rather He gives us grace to make good choices; He helps guide us and leads us in the right direction.

Isaiah 43:16 The Passion Translation

[God Will Do a New Thing ] Yahweh is the one who makes a way in the sea, a pathway in the mighty waters.

Have you ever been in love? Do you know how it feels to be in love? You want to be with that person all the time! God loves each of us like that. His love is deep and pure. Think how He could feel when His beloved rejects Him, chooses another god to worship, ignores Him? We are God's beloved!

Well I have to look at this Coronavirus; God did not make it, but He did not prevent it either. Now many find themselves quarantined in their own homes, no sports, no entertainment, no jobs. Things that we chose to come before God are no longer available to us.  Hmmm?

Micah 7:1-6 The Message

[ Stick Around to See What God Will Do ] I’m overwhelmed with sorrow! sunk in a swamp of despair! I’m like someone who goes to the garden to pick cabbages and carrots and corn And returns empty-handed, finds nothing for soup or sandwich or salad. There’s not a decent person in sight. Right-living humans are extinct. They’re all out for one another’s blood, animals preying on each other. They’ve all become experts in evil. Corrupt leaders demand bribes.

The powerful rich make sure they get what they want. The best and brightest are thistles. The top of the line is crabgrass. But no longer: It’s exam time. Look at them slinking away in disgrace! Don’t trust your neighbor, don’t confide in your friend. Watch your words, even with your spouse. Neighborhoods and families are falling to pieces. The closer they are—sons, daughters, in-laws— The worse they can be. Your own family is the enemy.

It is causing some to begin to understand what is really critical in life. Having a close relationship with a God who loves us and is all seeing and all powerful can be a comfort in these puzzling times. Loving our family and putting them before work and enertainment may deserve a second look. Examining our own treatment of others can be eye opening in truth.

You can tell Micah knew God; just look at His perspective:

 Micah 7:7 The Message

But me, I’m not giving up. I’m sticking around to see what God will do. I’m waiting for God to make things right. I’m counting on God to listen to me.

Others in the Bible also knew God and had communication with Him:

 Acts 27:23-26

The Message
“Last night God’s angel stood at my side, an angel of this God I serve, saying to me, ‘Don’t give up, Paul. You’re going to stand before Caesar yet—and everyone sailing with you is also going to make it.’ So, dear friends, take heart. I believe God will do exactly what he told me. But we’re going to shipwreck on some island or other.”

God's answers may not always be exactly what we want, but knowing God loves us and wants the best for us, allows us to trust that His answers are for our good. We sometimes find ourselves in a boat on a stormy sea, knowing God, we do not panic, but ask God (who is constantly with us) for His aid; and the Word shoiws us how to act ~

Romans 5:3-5 (The Message)
There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us,

and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next.

In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

Whoops. we have not spoken of the Third Person of the Holy Trinity yet. We will do that soon. Meanwhile, remember that the God, Creator of the Universe, wants to establish a relationship with us! Let us all use this perfect opportunity and perhaps this God-set TIME for it!

Here is Jeremiah with God's Word:

Jeremiah 31:10-13

“Hear the word of the Lord, you nations;
 proclaim it in distant coastlands:
‘He who scattered Israel will gather them
and will watch over his flock like a shepherd.’
11 For the Lord will deliver Jacob
and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they.
 12 They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion;
they will rejoice in the bounty of the Lord—
the grain, the new wine and the olive oil,
the young of the flocks and herds.

They will be like a well-watered garden,
and they will sorrow no more.
13 Then young women will dance and be glad,
young men and old as well.
 I will turn their mourning into gladness;
I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

Zephaniah 3:17 NIV

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Dear Mother, you were an awesome Mom. Collecting memories from those long ago days makes me smile. I can picture the house we grew up in, and we kids always came and went thru the back door. From the landing we entered the choice was to go up to the kitchen or down to the laundry room. Mom was often found in one of these two places. We were greeted with hugs as we returned from school.

Memories ~

  • Mom would wrap our hair in rag curls and as she worked she would sing to us. She had a marvelous voice and once sang in an operetta. She would sing songs to us as she formed our long curls. Those were precious moments.

  • Every evening Mom would get ready for Dad to come home. She would get out of her housedress she’d worked in all day and put on prettier clothes to greet Dad.

  • When she and Dad went out for the evening, sometimes her nails were still wet and she’d hold them up in the air as she kissed us goodbye. She always smelled especially nice when they went out.

  • Mom always loved the Lord. She would go out once a week to teach about Jesus to kids in the public school. She also volunteered to work in a nursing home helping teach different crafts like painting and also pottery making to bring joy to those who stayed there.

  • Mom lived her love of God. She was a good disciplinarian with us kids, holding us to truth and obedience and always with love. We were free to play with the neighborhood kids and it was almost like a family. We even went to the ‘block rosary’ on Tuesday nights.

  • During Lent we would get up early and walk to church, receive communion, walk home, Mom made breakfast, and we walked to school. She taught us reverence for the Lord.

  • On Good Friday we would pick up Ginny ( the lady who helped Mom with laundry) and “make the steps”. It is a tradition where there is a long flight of stairs going from a lower street and climbing to the top street. We would pray on each step. When we got to the top we would go to the church there and they passed out ‘holy water' from Lourdes. Then we went to where they had breakfast.

  • I think our relationship grew even closer in preparing for my wedding. There are so many decisions to be made and plans to set in place. She made it “all about me’. It can be a time of stress, and there were some of those, but she was always present to smoothe situations out and make it a joyous occasion.

  • Seems there were many things Mom taught us as we grew up. These are just a few memories I treasure.

NOW  I lift up all Moms. . . No matter Your age nor your generation, the jobs of moms is not easy. God has gifted us with children, and that is a blessing and a challenge. From the time they arrive as wonderful miracles of God, our lives are full.

Psalm 139:13-16

13 You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside
and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.[a]  (”God places an eternal spirit inside the conceived child within the womb of a mother and covers that life, sends the child a guardian angel, and watches over him or her.)

14 I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex!
Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking.
It simply amazes me to think about it!
How thoroughly you know me, Lord!

15 You even formed every bone in my body
when You created me in the secret place,
carefully, skillfully shaping me[c] from nothing to something.

16 You saw who you created me to be before I became me!

Before I’d ever seen the light of day,
the number of days you planned for me
were already recorded in your book.[e]

God's Word shows His love for our babies and alao for us. God ctreated us for a purpose, and part of that was to raise our kids to know Him. When we follow His plan, the  challenges are easier. WE have God within us to guide us. Do You know the Lord God? If not, I invite you today to choose to make Jesus the King of your heart. He will come and forgive all your mistakes (sins) and send Holy Spirit to indwell you. Then you have God Himself as your Mentor and your Guide. Those things you cannot accomplish, He can. You can rely on Him. Hey Moms, we all need help, and He is the supreme helper!

Thank You Lord for blessing all our Mothers!

Isaiah 45 The Passion Translation (TPT)

God’s Shepherd, Cyrus

45 “This is what Yahweh says to his anointed one,

Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped as my servant

to conquer nations and dethrone their kings.

For I will open doors before him

and no fortified gate will remain closed.

‘I will march out in front of you and level every obstacle.

I will shatter to pieces bronze doors

and slice through iron bars.

I will give you hidden treasures from dark, concealed places

and wealth waiting in secret sites

so that you recognize me, for it is I, Yahweh,

the God of Israel, who calls you by your name!

For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen,

I call you by your name and give you a title of honor.

But you don’t even know me.

I am Yahweh, the only God there is,

and you’ll never find another.

I will strengthen you for victory,

even though you do not intimately know who I am.

Yet through you everyone will know who I really am.

Those from the rising sun in the east to the west,

everyone everywhere will know

that I am Yahweh, the one and only God,

and there is no other.

I create light, and I make it dark.

I make bliss, and I create adversity.

I am Yahweh who does all these things.’

“Shower down righteousness, O heavens above.

Let the clouds drip with deliverance!

Let earth’s womb open and bear salvation’s fruit,

with righteousness rising up beside it!

I, Yahweh, have created all of them!

Shame on the one who argues with his Creator,

like one clay pot among other pots arguing with the potter.

Should the clay say to the potter,

‘What in the world are you doing with me?

Your hands are clumsy’?[l]

Shame on the one who complains to a father,

‘Why in the world did you conceive me?’

Or to a mother, ‘Why in the world did you bring me to birth?’”

Listen to what Yahweh,

the Holy One of Israel, the One who shaped him, has to say:

“Why do you question me about the destiny of my children

or tell me what to do with my children and what I have made?

I created the earth and populated it with people.

With my own hands, I spread out the cosmos

and then commanded the starry host to shine!

I am the one who raised him up in righteousness!

I will make all his paths straight and level.

He will build my city and release my exiled people,

not because he was bribed or hired to do it,

declares the Almighty Yahweh!”

Yahweh, the Hope of the Nations

This is what Yahweh says to Cyrus:

“Egypt’s wealth, Cush’s treasures, and the tall Sabeans

will all be handed over to you.

In chains they will walk behind you.

They will be brought before you and they will bow down

and address you reverently, saying,

‘Truly God is with you. He alone is God, and there is no other.’”

Truly, O God of Israel, the Savior,

you are a God who hides himself.”[q]

All the idol-makers will be ashamed and disgraced,

and each one will walk away in confusion.

But Yahweh saves Israel with everlasting salvation!

You will not be put to shame nor disgraced for all eternity!

This is what Yahweh says, heaven’s Creator, who alone is God.

He created the earth, shaped it, and established it all by himself.

He made it fit and orderly and beautiful for its inhabitants.

He says:

“I am Yahweh, and there is no other god.

I didn’t whisper in secret, in a realm of darkness.

I didn’t say to Jacob’s tribes,

‘Seek me in vain.’

I am Yahweh!

I speak the truth and declare to you what is right!

“Come together! Assemble yourselves!

Draw near, you refugees from among the nations.

Those who parade their powerless wooden idols

have no revelation knowledge.

They keep on praying to gods who cannot save them.

Declare what is to be and state your case.

Go ahead and take counsel together.

Who knew all about this and declared it long ago?

Was it not I, Yahweh? There is no god apart from me.

I am a righteous God and a Savior.

There is no one you can compare to me.

So turn your heart to me, face me now,

and be saved wherever you are,

even from the ends of the earth,

for I alone am God, and there is no other.

I make this solemn oath to you in my own name;

this word sent from my mouth in righteousness

will not return unfulfilled:

‘Truly every knee will bow before me

and every tongue will solemnly swear allegiance to me!’

All will say of me,

‘Yes! Only in Yahweh do I find righteousness and strength!’

And all who were angry with me

will come before me and regret it!

In Yahweh, all of Israel’s offspring will triumph and shine!”

In this chapter of Isaiah God is speaking of Cyrus; many today are calling our President “Cyrus”. Read the whole chapter knowing Isaiah 45 and see what it declares. I, for one, will agree. I raise a Halleluaj for God’s Word. Will I proclaim this IS A PROPHECY OF our President?  How can I? But within myself, I say yes, O believe he is the Cyrus of this time, and he will obey God and our world will recognize God as the true, one and only God of the universe.

Perhaps you disagree with me; that’s ok. I just choose to believe;

Romans 8:28

28 So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

God did not create Covig-19, but He will bring good out of it. He is capable and He is faithful to His promises. He also had a hand in placing our President in office. I trust God. This pandemic was no surprise to Him, and He is always working for our good. Thank You Lord!

The wonder and magnificence of our God!

Luke 1:78-80 (TPT)

78 The splendor light of heaven’s glorious sunrise[a]
is about to break upon us in holy visitation,
all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender.
79 The word from heaven will come to us[b]
with dazzling light to shine upon those
who live in darkness, near death’s dark shadow.[c]
And he will illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace.”

Romans 14:11 NIV  It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

Philippians 2:10-12 The Passion Translation (TPT)

10 The authority of the name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm.[a] 11 And every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh,”[b] bringing glory and honor to God, his Father![c]

Believers Shine Like Lights in the World]

12 My beloved ones, just like you’ve always listened to everything I’ve taught you in the past, I’m asking you now to keep following my instructions as though I were right there with you. Now you must continue to make this new life fully manifested as you live[d] in the holy awe of God—which brings you trembling into his presence.

This verse makes it clear that the name given to Jesus at his exaltation was “Lord Jehovah” or “Lord Yahweh.” The Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua (lit. “God is a Saving-Cry”;), which bears and reveals the name Yahweh. Jesus carries the name and reputation of his Father, Yahweh, within him. See John 17:11.

This powerful Jesus prays for us to be ONE with each other.

John 17:11 The Passion Translation (TPT)

11 “Holy Father, I am about to leave this world[a]
to return and be with you,
but my disciples will remain here.
So I ask that by the power of your name,
protect each one that you have given me,
and watch over them so that they will be united
as one, even as we are one.

Philippians 2:11 Note the seven steps of exaltation that God gave Jesus after the cross:

God exalted him and multiplied his greatness.

He possess the greatest name of all.

His sovereign authority will cause every knee to bow.

God decreed that everyone in heaven will bow in worship of the God-Man, Jesus.

God decreed that every demonic being will bow to the God-Man

God decreed that every tongue will proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh!

God received the glory and honor of sharing his throne with the Jesus.

The glory and grandeur of God, His magnificence, His regal brilliance and power are evident in His universal designs. They’re so far above us, we can only bow down to His might and glory. And to think, this amazing God wants to establish connection with you and me! I mean  really. . .

Have you ever stared up at a waterfall whose thunderous roar fills your head with glory and power? or

Have you sat in a boat on a river in absolute stillness as the sky became a vast ceiling of sparkling diamonds?

Have you stood on a mountaintop, eyes filled with a vista of rising peaks shouting out the magnificent power of God’s strength?

Have you marveled at the gentleness of an enormous elephant nuzzling her baby, admired the speed of a racing cheetah, the grace of a gazelle?

This world of ours is brimming over with the touch of our God. His love gleams though all His creation. Even the miracles of the human body reflect His wisdom and delight in our being. My friends, one cannot really deny God’s existence except in pride or ignorance. The earth is a statement of His love for us.

Philippians 2:12 The Aramaic can be translated “push through the service of your life” or “work the work of your life.”

It is also the validation of His purpose and ours in our lives.  He made the earth to house us and to give us joy. He placed a purpose in each of our lives, and when we discover our purpose, our being takes on new energy as we set goals and follow God’s lead in pursuing them. Instilled in us is a new animation, our smile returns with glee. Life is not meant to be a drudgery or dull.

More verification of God’s care for us is found in the book He gave us. I call the Bible God’s Instruction Manual on living a happy life. That is its purpose ~ to lead and guide, to teach and portray His love for us; He is love. I ask that you who read these words will feel His love touch your hearts:

ROMANS 8:14 The mature children of God are those[a] who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. 15 And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,”[b] leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.[c] But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,”[d] enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”[e] 16 For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as He whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”

Romans 8:15 Or “spirit of adult [complete] sonship.” The Aramaic can be translated “the spirit of consecrated children.”

Romans 8:15 Abba is not a Greek word, but an Aramaic word transliterated into

Greek letters. Abba is the Aramaic word for “father.” It is also found in Mark 14:36 and Gal. 4:6. Abba is also a word used for devotion, a term of endearment. This is why some have concluded that Abba could be translated as

“Daddy” or “Papa.” It is hard to imagine a closer relationship to have with God than to call him “Abba, our Beloved Father.”

Praise You mighty Lord! Let the whole world rise up and praise YOU! For You are mighty and You are love. How marvelous that You love us so much that You always seek the best for us. When we come and seek You and ask for things, You hear and if its best for us You provide. Thank You wonderful Father! I am so blessed!

This unique time in the world’s history comes as a shock and leaves us adrift in a sea of questions. This has caused some to be attacked by fear. Others are also stressed out by the changes. Still others are so lonely, they commit suicide. Thankfully, Lord You provide an answer if only people would seek You, for You have the solutions.

You are the God who loves us and when we ask, You are with us to give peace. Yes, peace in all situations! Without Your peace, fear invades the mind, and it seems today the two major ones bringing anxiety are the deadly virus and money worries. Yes these unravel into an unknown future, and those without faith have no place to hide; it leave them wide open to the enemy's verbal persecutions. Whereas, those who have relationship with God know they can leave any distress in His  hands, because He knows the future, He love us and will take care of us.

There is much evidence of God's love. Look what Jesus did for us! We were lost in sin and chained to the devil’s prison, we had no good future. We were born with Adam’s transgression embedded into our nature, and were thus condemned; our destiny was hell. But because Jesus  loved us so much, He was willing to sacrifice Himself bearing torturous pain and agony to pay our sin debt! In so doing He broke us out of Satan's evil bind. Then Jesus sent Holy Spirit to be our protector holding us above the chaos as we choose to believe and follow Jesus and His ways. Holy Spirit is our Mentor, our Teacher, our Shield and our Strength.

Luke 1:78-80  (TPT)

78 The splendor light of heaven’s glorious sunrise  is about to break upon us in holy visitation,
all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender.
79 The word from heaven will come to us with dazzling light to shine upon those
who live in darkness, near death’s dark shadow.   And He will illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace.”

Friends, in this time of trials, find truth in the Savior who loves you! He wants to establish relationship with us! What an awesome concept ~ that the Creator of the Universe wants to bond with us, have communication with us! All we have to say is “Yes I want to know You that way too. Lord.”

This unique time in our lives opens up the opportunity to spend effort in truly seeking a better way of life. God honestly  cares about us and desires to open Himself up to us. We can have access to His wisdom and His power, if we so choose. Dear ones, turn this pandemic into a victory for yourself and your family. Allow God Himself to be your guide through the rest of your time! What a magnificent chance to change the negative things in ourself and our world into marvelous positives. He is eagerly waiting to help us do it!

Trust in the Lord. Oh God I remember trust as a small child. I loved playing in the woods behind our house with our friends. It was great fun. . . until the morning I awoke to  a strange noise. A tractor was pushing down all the trees! I ran downstairs and told my mom, "Call dad quick they are pushing down all our trees!! He can make them stop." I knew this cuz, my dad could do anything. Well, sad to say, He was not God and only God could stop the developers. But trust is a force that can cause miracles to happen, when the trust is in God.

BTW We turned the new construction houses into a - playground.;)

So as we face an unsettling reality today, we have choices to make. We can be afraid that we will catch the virus and die, or a loved one will, or that the economy will crash ~ and then what will happen? So many fearful posssibilities can be ahead, and all are out of our control!

Fear comes crashing in the door. We can run away and hide, or we can successfully fight it with faith. Indeed, we can trust God and all the promises in His Word. He is faithful to carry out His promises, if we believe. Yes the choice is ours. WE can live in peace knowing this was no surprise to God, and He has a plan for us, and because He loves us, it is a good plan.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

Lord I was allowing the enemy’s negatives to get me down! Thank You for sending Pat! Father I am not going to act like a weakling. You indwell me! You, the God, Creator of the universe, live inside of me. Hello, God. Before You I bow down.

8. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Holy Spirit, You know me inside and out and You still love me.   Then He surprised me by speaking into my spirit:

‘Mary I have loved you from the moment I breathed life into your spirit in that special place before you were born.’

Then I found in Jeremiah 5

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument],   And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]

How good that makes me feel. I do not always get a direct word from Him, but it seems when I really need it, He confirms me as His own. We serve a marvelous, loving Lord!

Psalm 46 Amplified Bible (AMP)

God the Refuge of His People    A Song.

God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable],
A very present and well-proved help in trouble.

Yes Lord, you have always been faithful!! Today is no exception!

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas,
Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains tremble at its roaring.Selah.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

This is where our focus must be!

God is in the midst of her [His city], she will not be moved;
God will help her when the morning dawns. Every day begins with a morning, a newness, a fresh space to see and walk in!

The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered and were moved;
He raised His voice, the earth melted.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.

Yes, He is the Lord of hosts, greater than any nation, evil, and disease!                             Nothing is impossible for Him, and in His love for us, we have His protection and faithfulness in His promises.

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
Who has brought desolations and wonders on the earth.
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.

Interesting, since this pandemic began, there is little talk of war! Rather news is filled with the Coronavirus around the world

“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah

Indeed, we obey our God. He tells us “be still” and when we go to a quiet place and silence our thoughts allowing Him to enter into that space, we will experience God revealing Himself to us. And we will naturally exalt Him. We cannot do anything but glorify Him in His magnificence and wonder! Praise Him, O my soul!!

Fear and anxety melt in the Presence of our God!

Friends, we have such a marvelous God who knows us and what we need. It's us who don't really know what we need. Oh, we know our wants alright, but our 'wants' are not always the best thing for us. And that is one excellent reason to seek to have communion with the God who loves us. Once we get to truly know Him, our communication with Him covers everything we want and need. Then we can build a true relationship with God. And oh how splendid that is!! Hey, let's look at this Scripture to see one advantage:

Romans 8:9-25 The Passion Translation (TPT)

9 But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, [a] you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit.

And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.[b]

Think about these words. Are we sometimes dominated by the flesh? Yes, we all are at times. Yeah like recently I ended up with a partial bag of potato chips. Could I resist them? Only sometimes, but the bag is now empty. . .  and when My  husband called from the store, "Honey we are out of chips, shalI I pick up a bag?"  With a resounding "NO" I replied, " If they are not  here I cannot eat them."   They have the potential of dominating my flesh, so I have to keep away from them. What is your 'great temptation' of the flesh? For some it is more serious: pornography, alcohol, drugs. . .

The wonderful word that this Scripture gives us is: But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh. When we choose Christ as our King, dedicating our life to Him, choosing to serve Him as Lord of our life, He comes along side of us and empowers us to defeat the cravings of the  flesh. We are not alone in the struggle and the enemy can no longer defeat us. In Christ there is victory!

10 Now Christ lives his life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God.[c] 11 Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, He will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!

12 So then, beloved ones, the flesh has no claims on us at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it. 13 For when you live controlled by the flesh, you are about to die. But if the life of the Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh, we then taste His abundant life.

Indeed it is an abundant life! I like that  "Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh"  We live on the victory road. Does this mean we easily conquer every challenge in life? Not necessarily, but when we remember Christ is with us helping us, His power enables us to always have the victory.

We are then: Sons and Daughters Destined for Glory

14 The mature children of God are those[d] who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. 15 And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,”[e] leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.

But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,”[g] enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join Him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”[h] 16 For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as He [God] whispers into our innermost being, “You are My beloved child!”

Don't you enjoy the way this says, " enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned. . ." Yes, we can be enfolded into God's family, we become full members of God's family; He calls us His beloved children, and in truth we become so.

We are able to establish an intimate relationship with God Himself. You may not have had a good father/child connection, but God can become your true Father, loving you in the way you always wished it could be, a Father who approves of you, encourages you, speaks loving  words to you ~ just as you are today!

17 And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God Himself. . ..

I had to share the words of the Message version also:

Romans 8:17 The Message (MSG)

15-17 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really areYes, life with God is never boring! And our relationship with God is alive and adventurous! It is an intimate connection!

8:15 Footnote: Abba is not a Greek word, but an Aramaic word transliterated into Greek letters. Abba is the Aramaic word for “father.” It is also found in Mark 14:36 and Gal. 4:6. Abba is also a word used for devotion, a term of endearment. This is why some have concluded that Abba could be translated as “Daddy” or “Papa.” It is hard to imagine a closer relationship to have with God than to call him “Abba, our Beloved Father.”

I love the words that talk about how our relationship has true intimacy.  Did you know? or did you ever think that our God relationship can be a beautiful intimacy shared with a divine God? It is quite a wonderous thought, aye? And it is truly possible. Oh dear friends, if you do not know God's love for you, it is the perfect time to persue it! Life with God is so much better than being ignorant and only knowing the world's kind of thinking. Come search Him out. My book CAST UP A HIGHWAY has helped some to experience truth.  Know God not as a monarch sitting above the clouds impssionately observing His creation on earth; know Him as the warm loving Father who cares deeply for each of us, and who desires a personal relationship with you and me!!

                                        AWESOME GOD

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
