Cast Up A Highway

ISIS has taken over towns like Qaraqosh in Syria. Peacefully sitting in a nice warm place, you might just pass over this bit of news. Of course it's been going on for awhile.
But even now,if you were living there or nearby, I guarantee you are on alert. Why?
Because where ISIS has conquered and is conquering, Christian families are being assassinated, cruelly murdered, crucified, beheaded. in front of children, and including children. This is what our brothers and sisters are going through at the hands of ISIS. These cruel terrorists have nothing in their minds but their jihad. Sad for them is the end, for they will suffer eternity in hell, not in their 7virgin heaven. At least the Christians they kill will be spending eternity in a wonderful heaven with a loving Father.
We must stand with them praying vigorously for their safety here on earth. Pray for their protection, their sustenance, their strength. Pray that Almighty God will surround them in His grace and mercy; let them be in the tower of God where they will be filled with His Presence and love that removes all fear. Lead them to safety away from the marauders. Lord we ask You to release legions of angels to battle against evil’s satanic forces. What prayer would you want covering you, if you were in that situation? Please pray it for them. ISIS must be stopped!
Pope Francis, one of the world spiritual leaders, is calling for around the world prayer for the Christian families under ISIS’ terrorizing hands. God said in
Isaiah 43:18-19 AMP
“Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past.
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, rivers in the desert."
Let our prayers go forth together and release God’s hand in doing a new thing in Syria. Let it cover the people with freedom, grace, and peace. Let them find a "new road" in the wilderness for escape. Let us all pray tonight and ask God to gather our prayers together in strength and power to give supernatural help to our Syrian siblings.

John’s book of the Bible is one of my favorites and I love his passage about Jesus’ teaching on the vine and the branches. Jesus was so good at helping us understand things by using parables~ stories using mind pictures to help understand. Like one of my favorites is His Word on the vine and the branches. The people of His time had grape vineyards. So look at this Scripture where He uses them to teach about our relationship:
John 15:1-5, I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have given you [the teachings which I have discussed with you]. 4 Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me.
5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. We all know that when a branch is cut off of a bush or a tree or a vine, it cannot survive for long.
Just so, when we cut ourself off from Jesus and His teachings, we will spiritually wither and die. But so long as we remain connected to Him and His teachings, and allow Jesus’ Holy Spirit to dwell within us, accepting God as the Master Vine dresser to work in our life, we will continue to grow into a healthy fruit producing “branch”.
The Master Vinedresser does sometimes have to prune us, and that can be uncomfortable; but it is necessary for us to grow stronger and bring forth juicy fruit. Sometimes we begin to fall into shade as other vines cover us, but the Father will prune them away so we can get the full Sonshine necessary. God may prune friends who are not the best influence on us, or it could be an activity or even a job.
So do not fear if God is pruning you; just trust Him and spend more time with Him so you can grow in understanding.
My friends, it’s a wonderful choice to allow Jesus to flow through us; it produces health and happiness. Seek Him today and increase joy in your life everyday.

January 5, 2017 It has begun! A brand new year has broken ground, its little green head peaks through the surface. In a house we had years ago, we could look out a large dining room window and see the spring plants breaking ground. Its such a joy to watch them struggle up to the sunshine in February. They were a true sign that Spring was indeed almost here. They struggled through the late winter snow storms, feeding on the moisture, gaining strength.
2017 has broken through the ground and is seeking the warmth of the sun. There are struggles to come, and late winter snowstorms to weather, but it is going to be a great year. God’s hand and His promises are covering it. Do you have any fears concerning this new season? Remember what God’s Word promises:
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
Are you feeling threatened by a coming battle, a challenge? Remember our God has a strong word in 2 Chronicles 20 where Jehoshaphat is faced with an attack from a vast army of the enemy. Jehoshaphat calls for his people to fast and pray, and they come from all the towns and Jehoshaphat prays:
2 Chronicles 20:6-9,15-17
“Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. 7 Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? 8 They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying, 9 ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
And the Lord responded:
15-17 ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”
We remember that sometimes the battle is God’s and we just give it to Him, take our positions and stand. What is our position? It is: faith entrenched within us, obedience to His Word a given, trust in God firmly in place, belief in His promises sown into the fabric of who we are. We stand staunchly in place and watch our God work.
Whatever our situation, we can depend on our God being faithful to us as we are faithful to Him. God will never let us down, because He loves us, and we can count on Him always doing what is best for us. This can be tricky, because sometimes what we think is best for us isn’t really; so we trust God’s focus will always be on the best. It's where faith and trust enter in. God knows everything past, present and future, so what He gives to us will take that into consideration.
Even if we are disappointed by His decision, trust God. And remember He is with us and helps us through each day and its troubles.
“For I the Lord your God keep hold of your right hand; [I am the Lord],
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’

Beautiful needle point work by Sharon Burke
Shining brightly in the silent night, the great star of Bethlehem alerted the astrologists to Jesus birth and His location. He was a light in the darkness.
Christmas comes near the end of the year, and this year it seems to have extra significance. For me it portends to open a door in time when God will make Himself more known to the world.
Partially open door releases rays of light, and I creep up to the portal and glance inside. From whence comes this gleaming? A glow seems to emanate from the man who stands gently speaking to a sparsely filled room; Only a few people sit, but each listens with rapt attention. Eyes appear to catch the shine with more than just blank reflection; it appears to climb from deep inside. What is this? Truth is being revealed.
1 John 1:7
But if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].
As the Christmas lights fill the night with color, my little one shouts, “Oh look Daddy! It’s so beautiful!” One house is amazing with thousands of lights outlining shapes in the night. It is a special house and she loves it. I’ve heard this is the last year they will be able to decorate it as they are moving. We shall all miss it. It has almost become a tradition to stop by this home during the season. Picture ~created by lights; it’s symbolic of Christ who is our light casting out the evil and bringing the light of love and goodness to the world.
Oh the miracle of God’s plan! Man got the sin nature of satan at birth, but accepting Jesus sacrificial gift to us cleanses us of sin and we are reborn with God’s nature and it all happens through the shed blood of Jesus! Choose to believe it or not. It is truth, and Jesus gift of new life can make earthly life better and guarantee a life of joy, love, wonders, excitement and peace for all eternity.
What do you trade for unbelief? More struggles with fewer answers here on earth and an eternity of suffering under the hatred of satan and pain and agony. I’m thinking one of the worst punishments will be knowing your different choice would have put you in a place of unbelievably marvelous rewards of joy and happiness.
Please my friends, pray that God will change your heart if it is wrong in its choice. God loves you so much and He is a forgiving Father. He wants you with Him! Talk to Him.
Isaiah 41:13 (AMP)
“For I the Lord your God keep hold of your right hand; [I am the Lord],
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’

Isaiah 53:10-12 (AMP)
Yet the Lord was willing
To crush Him, causing Him to suffer;
If He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin],
He shall see His [spiritual] offspring,
He shall prolong His days,
And the will (good pleasure) of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in His hand.
11 As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He shall see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge [of what He has accomplished] the Righteous One,
My Servant, shall justify the many [making the
[the responsibility for] their sins.
Was it really You, Holy Sprit, that put this Scripture in my mind? My soul resists it, because it says the Lord was willing to "crush" Him. And Jesus was willing to be "crushed", because He knew it would save us. My sensibilities recoil at the word 'crush', but Jesus did not. He accepted it. It was not easy; He sweat great drops of blood in anticipation of it, yet He continued onward with the Father’s plan. Like the olive, crushed for its precious oil, Jesus was crushed for the precious salvation of mankind.
God, You had a plan from all time, a plan to create mankind, creatures made in Your image and likeness that You could share a loving relationship with them. Your loving heart is so big; You are love; so much love needed to flow out.
So here I am, one of Your creatures. Because You are God, You knew me before Your plan was put in motion. Jesus You knew I was one of the ones needing salvation, and You chose to allow Yourself to be tortured and abused so I could be with You for all eternity. You wanted me with You. If it had only been me needing salvation, You would have gone through it for just me. I receive this gift very personally and gratefully thank You Jesus!
Being loved so beautifully is precious like a wondrous jewel shining with lights sparkling and dancing filling up my insides with joy and peace. I think of living in Your thoughts for so long, and now I am here. And You rejoiced as this child was being formed in my mother’s womb, for You knew every day of my life. You knew the struggles the battles I would fight to be in this moment and time. The other day I felt Your smile upon me, and Your approval encouraged me to keep going.
This picture is by my twitter friend @ pdeddy.com. She graciously allowed me to borrow it for my blog
I prize each conversation we have, each nuance of You that I feel. Why You, this awesome mighty God, Creator of the Universe, wants a personal relationship with me is astounding. It has nothing to do with who I am, and everything to do with who You are. This small insignificant creature that I am can make no claim on You or Your love. Yet You chose me and You call me by name and claim me as Your own! When I was diagnosed with cancer, You gave me this word:
Isaiah 43:1 (AMP)
. . . “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from captivity];
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
You have actually sent Your Holy Spirit to indwell me. You live inside me to connect me in a special way, guiding, mentoring, encouraging me, leading me along Your path for my life. I am never alone. No matter the hurt or storm that moves into my life, You are with me. I come to You in trust knowing You will bring all things together for good.
Romans 8:28 (AMP)
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
You care about me and every aspect of my life. Your love for me is a protection that overcomes any attack of the enemy! Your love covers me as a warm blanket of comfort and security. I rest in You!

Good morning Lord! I lift You up and praise Your glory! You are awesome and beautiful, more glorious than the sunrise that brightens the morning sky with vibrant oranges and pinks, and shades of red. You are brighter than the full moon shedding light to us earthlings at night.
Your love warms our hearts like the sunshine after a storm refreshes and warms our souls. You are perfect in Your knowledge of us and all our needs; we might not always agree at the time, but it always turns out that You are right. Thank You Lord!
I bow down to You this morning, my Lord, head to the ground in obeisance, pledging obedience to Your will as my God Whom I love with all my heart. You fill me up Lord; I am brimming over with joy at Your smile and the approval I’m feeling in Your gaze upon me. Thank You Lord! I so want to please You and bring honor to Your name! Holy Spirit please always guide my thoughts and my actions.
My friends, I was just thinking again about our kids and their relationship with God, with Jesus. This relationship is critical to bringing them through this time in their lives, these preteen and teenage years. The enemy is so after our children and they are very vulnerable to his lies and deceits. When they hit emotional troubles and hearts are hurting, where do they go?
The enemy is right there to highlight negative feelings and thoughts. Often in this time the natural “fight for independence" brings conflict with parents, so this avenue can be cut off. They may have a good friend, or not. They may have a mentor at school, but they probably won't get a Christian view there. Perhaps a youth group leader at church could help, OR , thankfully, if they have a connection with Jesus, they can go there for sure help anytime.
Now this ‘connection’ must be real. Do they have an ongoing relationship with Jesus where they converse together? Do they hear His voice speaking to them? They can, you know. Remember what Jesus said:
John 10:27 (AMP)
The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.
We are able to hear His voice. We are the sheep of His pasture; He is our Shepherd. He loves us and cares for us. He laid down His life on our behalf. What more can we ask? Thank You Jesus for enduring such terrible torture for us.
Jesus desires a one on one closeness so we are able to sit and chat together. We can bring our questions, our troubles to Him. He will answer and help us. We can trust Him, but as humans, it is sometimes easier said than done. Trust comes with experience, so we speak about God and introduce Him to kids at an early age when possible; but any age is a good beginning in building a heart connection with Almighty God.
Have you yourself established a heart connection with God? Do you speak with Him and hear His still small voice in return?

My heart is breaking! Just been told that a young friend of my nephew committed suicide. His note said he couldn’t live up to all the expectations put on him. He evidently didn’t know the Lord, or he would have a place to take his frustrations. Our society and it’s attack on Christianity has kept these youngsters from having a resource of strength that should be available to them. This death takes a toll not only on his family, but also on all those close who care about him and are now suffering too!
Our society has been breeding a culture of death. Abortion gives no value to innocent babies except financial profit to sell body parts of aborted babies. Now laws are being passed to make suicide legal if someone might have to suffer pain. God's timing on all things is the best, and that includes dying. We do not know Almighty God's plans and thoughts, but they are always higher than ours.
Isaiah 55:8-9 (AMP)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.
I heard of a man in Oregon where an insurance company would not pay for a his cancer treatment, but would pay for his death by assisted suicide. Where are our values?
It's time, my friends, for everyone of us to step up and step out in telling people about Christ and His love for them; this is especially needed by our young people.
Remember when you were preteen and teenagers? Besides all the physical and hormonal changes, they are also trying to begin their higher education challenges. Thus not just studies, but all the other challenges like bullying, or making new friends and trying to be accepted, fitting in, parental approval, independence. God knows how to help them, but we need to introduce them to Jesus, who loves them and will never let them down. It’s time, and it’s a responsibility we all share!
With the attitude change in our new government, perhaps we now have a more open chance to help these kids and teach them about spiritual truths. Some have absolutely no concept that they have a spiritual side at all, or that it matters and is a good thing. Dear ones who have young children, please be there for your kids and teach them Christian truths and Christian principles! Don’t depend on the school because until now the schools were negating Jesus and spiritual concepts. Hopefully that will change, but it will take time. Meanwhile it’s up to parents and mentors, grandparents, and other believing members of the family to keep close to these precious children and see the truth is sown into their spirits.
God has a plan for their lives; they can get through this time!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Take them by the spiritual hand and gently guide them to the beautiful Christ who gave up His life for us, who suffered terribly so we could be free. Don’t let this gift be wasted by denying the evil machinations of the devil who captures our children by lies and deceptions. Give kids the weapons they need to get through this troubled time in their lives.
And pray for them daily! Lift them up and put supernatural protection around them, angels to watch over them and lead them on the true path. Jesus is the light in the darkness and their ever present help in storms. He is always close by. Teach the children how to pray, how to have a personal relationship with God. Let's save our children!

Isaiah has long been one of my favorite books of the Bible, because You, my Lord, used it to speak words of great encouragement to me when I really needed it. In Isaiah 43,verse one, You told me that You called me by my name, Mary, and that I am Yours. That settled my heart right down into peace. Then you told me I did not need to fear the chemo of treatment for:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you.
When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
You totally turned the cancer journey into a joyful walk with You. Thank You my mighty Lord God! You are quite wonderful!! (Related in a chapter of the book: Cast Up A Highway)
Today as I read on in Isaiah 43 You give more encouragement as another truth jumps out when You say:
“I, [only] I, am the Lord,
And there is no Savior besides Me.
12 “I have declared [the future] and saved [the nation] and proclaimed [that I am God],
And there was no strange (alien) god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses [among the pagans],” declares the Lord,
“That I am God."
13 “Even from eternity I am He,
And there is no one who can rescue from My hand;
I act, and who can revoke or reverse it?”
You alone are God, and only You can save us from destruction~ in every way. At this time in our nation, evil is fighting vigorously to win. You alone are strong enough to save us, and we depend on You. We may be the remnant, but we praise You as our Almighty God, and we count on You to be our Savior. You sent Your Son and saved our souls from damnation; You cleansed us totally by taking on our sin and paying the debt off. Now we pray for You to save our nation. Evil cannot have it!
When we accept Your magnificent gift of freedom from satanic rule, Jesus, we come into a glorious relationship of love with God Almighty; we actually live in Your Kingdom, and become ambassadors for You. That is our new career, and I, for one, like it! Life in Your Kingdom is so good; I can feel Your constant Presence, that quiet peaceful joy of divine companionship. Oh Jesus, thank You!
My God, my God, how grand You are! You are due all praise and worship “Yea God! How I do love You!”
You created the stars and the moon as lights in the dark of night. Even in the night sky You gave us the moon to reflect the sun’s light. That applies to all kinds of darkness including when the enemy tries to attack; it tries to conceal itself in the shadows, but the reflection of the light of the Son in us always can penetrate the gloom and lift up truth. We are the moon to Your Son. There is no one like You Lord!
Even from eternity I am He,
And there is no one who can rescue from My hand;
I act, and who can revoke or reverse it?”
I am securely in Your hand, and no enemy can kidnap me away from You. You created this nation as Your own, and the enemy cannot capture it away from You either. You created it for Yourself, and the enemy is trying but shall never succeed. Your Word says “I act, and who can revoke or reverse it?” We humbly bow down before You, O great God, and we bring You to remembrance of Your Word.
Isaiah 55:8-11 (AMP)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.
10 “For as the rain and snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth,
Making it bear and sprout,
And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me void (useless, without result),
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
We know Lord that Your Word is truth; we may not immediately comprehend its deepest meaning, but Holy Spirit helps us.
Now lets look further in Isaiah 43:
Isaiah 43:18-20 (AMP)
“Do not remember the former things,
Or ponder the things of the past.
19 “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even put a road in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
20 “The beasts of the field will honor Me,
Jackals and ostriches,
Because I have given waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
Yes Father You give water in the desert~
if we drift away into a dry godless place, or wander away from You and get into a dry desert region of the spirit, we can repentantly return to You and You will loose a refreshing spring to satisfy our thirst for You, and instill within us the cleansing spiritual spring we require to return to Your Presence. Then we thankfully bask there and joyfully praise You to all people telling them of Your goodness.
You actually prepared me and worked through me to create a road in the wilderness to help lead Your people to You/back to You; it’s called Cast Up A Highway and uses Your Word to bring truth to people. It’s blog carries truth to thousands of people with Your Word. I humbly prostrate myself before You in joy as Your Word goes forth. [castupahighway.com]
Thank You for Your Word Lord, for talking to us. Thank You for the relationship with You where we can bond on a deeper level. We desire more of You Lord!! Come Lord Jesus. Carry us deeper!

The powerful Scripture ending the last blog challenges evil. When we allow ourselves to drift away from God, satan’s demons are right there to lead us into doubt. Look at this Scripture and tell me what your reaction to it is:
Deuteronomy 13:4 AMP
You shall walk after the Lord your God and you shall fear [and worship] Him [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], and you shall keep His commandments and you shall listen to His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cling to Him.
Does it remind you of how you should be, but perhaps you have slipped away from the “awe-filled reverence and profound respect”? Or does it make you question if it is is necessary? A little doubt can take root and grow a tree of discontent. Be aware, my friends, in these end times that the enemy is always watching for an inroad to our hearts. If you sense a doubt of any kind or size trying to inveigle its way into your thoughts, close up that channel quickly and begin praising God! For the enemy is after those who love the Lord, and the enemy deceptions are fierce and cunning.
Dear ones, many are suffering in this world from the enemy warfare~ suffering physically and mentally from cruel attacks. Please lift up our brothers and sisters who are undergoing terrible distress and pain at the hands of ISIS and other demonic groups and peoples. If you are also under this kind of attack, know many are praying for your strength and God’s enduring Presence to be with you. May Holy Spirit continue to speak His Word into your spirit, and bring comfort wherever you have need.
Isaiah 33:2 (NIV)
Lord, be gracious to us;
we long for you.
Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress.
Lord God, on this morning of great need, I lift my eyes to You alone. You know my distress, my need right now. You lift me right up into your throne room, that I may prostrate myself in Your mighty Presence. Here I humbly lie at Your feet in worship; my heart cries in joyful thanksgiving that I can be with You for these moments.
I rest in Your majesty, in a love so powerful I am lifted soaring in a current of love that cleanses me from all doubt, and fills
me with pure joy. Oh Jesus, thank You! No longer am I subject to the evil power of my enemies, for what can man do to me when Your joy fills me?
Hear Jesus talking to His Father about us:
13 But now I am coming to You; and I say these things [while I am still] in the world so that they may experience My joy made full and complete and perfect within them [filling their hearts with My delight].
14 I have given to them Your word [the message You gave Me]; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world and do not belong to the world, just as I am not of the world and do not belong to it. 15 I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but that You keep them and protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Lord God, You have not taken me out of the world, but You keep me close; You fill me with Your joy, so nothing the enemy can do to me matters. You protect me in Your secret power that bursts forth from Your hand.
Habakkuk 3:4 (AMPC)
And His brightness was like the sunlight; rays streamed from His hand,
and there [in the sunlike splendor] was the hiding place of His power.
Thank You for loving me so well, my God! You actually rejoice over us with joy.
Zephaniah 3:17 (NASB)
“The Lord your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”

The other day I was with my pre-teen grandkids, and they wanted to watch Harry Potter. So never having seen one, I sat down with them. I’d heard negative things and now I know why. The kids reaction was “I wish I could go to a school like that and learn magic.” My response was, “You have Jesus, the God Creator of the Universe living inside of you. Thats real! This magic is made up fiction and not real. Now satan can cause supernatural things to happen, but do you really want to be a part of evil magic?” Even the thought makes me feel icky inside.
Now I know why the draw of Harry Potter is demonic. On the surface it is well written fiction, but underneath it dismisses the power of God. Kids do not have the discernment to see it, so they get sucked into thinking of the wonders of flying through the air on a broomstick, instead of having Holy Spirit living inside of them empowering them. Scripture says,
Mark 10:27 (NIV)
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
Life gives us many situations that magic could never handle, but God can. Building relationship with God gives us access to His mighty power which He makes available to us when we trust in Him. Whether our problems involve relationships, mistakes, work, or feelings, whatever, God has the answer and will help us in any situation.
Unfortunately youth often live in the past or the present only and their future is far from their minds. When they face a challenge or a hurt, they have even been known to turn to suicide, because no magic can help them; and they have not come to know God who could help them.
So if you have kids who are hooked on Harry Potter or films like it, I recommend that you either steer them away from them, take it away from them, or have a serious talk with them. It is deceptive and insidious invasion of evil into the minds of our young ones. As I said, it causes them to look for magic answers, desire magic abilities instead of knowing God and His immense power that is truly available to them. This is what their hearts should be focusing on.
The devil’s attack is focused on our young, as they are most vulnerable. We can counter it by also focussing on our children. Watch carefully what they see and hear and read, and provide family time to do good encouraging things together.
It may be watching good movies, going to Christian concerts, sending them to Christian youth groups and camps when and if available, attending faith filled church services together, or youth groups connected with them. You can know what is available to you in your place and situation.
God is the answer. Pray for our children. Bless our kids when you put them to bed at night. Take a little time to pray with / for them. Ask God to help you to know the best way to work with your kids, especially teens and pre-teens who are so vulnerable! Holy Spirit is also available to us if we have invited Him into our life when we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Having God Almighty as a Guide in life is a powerful force for the successful training of our kids.
The Word of God is also a authoritative and forceful source of strength in life. Obedience to it brings God’s formidable authority into play, and accomplishes great feats in our lives. God’s Word tells us how to be obedient:
Deuteronomy 13:4 AMP
You shall walk after the Lord your God and you shall fear [and worship] Him [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], and you shall keep His commandments and you shall listen to His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cling to Him.
Cling to Him, my friends, and experience a blessing filled life!

September 11, 2016. Fifteen years ago today, the enemy struck a blow at our country. It was a tragedy where thousands lost their lives; it was a strike at the heart of America.
Yet it was also a time when many heroes of our land were born. The first responders, the firefighters fearlessly entered the burning buildings to rescue people; many also lost their own lives doing it. These and many others who selflessly entered the structures, and helped dig people out of the rubble also lost their lives. We will never forget them and we will honor them always.
This early morning 9/11/16 I look out my window at a soft pink cloud in a blue sky, it's like God is giving comfort to His people.
That in itself is remarkable, because in September 2001 there was a seeming unity where even our government officials stood together in prayer. People knew only God could heal us.
Unfortunately, since then our government has been set on getting rid of God in America. They say “separation of church and state” (which is not in our constitution at all), means Christianity cannot be involved in even the smallest way in anything that has to do with government. Worship of Christ must be kept in the church, not in anything that touches on government~ no prayer in public schools, no ten commandments posted, no mention of Jesus or Christ, no Bibles on a desk of a teacher, no crosses in veteran’s cemeteries, it goes on. . . Their intent is to erase God from our society.
How merciful You are, Oh God! You don't erase us, rather You continue to love us and desire each of us to know You, so all can enjoy the life of true freedom. True freedom is living in the kingdom of Jesus and being His emissary in the world. For in Jesus Kingdom love is prevails; we have a purpose with eternal consequences and rewards.
Joy comes like a gentle pink sunrise bringing a smile and feelings of peace. Difficulties and challenges are faced with supernatural help, and when needed, loving comfort covers like a warm blanket on a cold day.
God knows we are imperfect and He does not expect us to be otherwise. But He does encourage us to continue to grow in our knowledge of Him and His ways.
I received some vegetables from a kind neighbor the other day. Among them were a few tomatoes. These poor babies were scarred by bugs or something and did not look very pleasant. However when I excised their disfigurement and cut up the red juicy meat, I found them to be delicious.
We come to Jesus with all our blemishes and defacement; He welcomes us warmly! As we grow in relationship with God, we find our scars will be gently excised, and our fruit will be sweet. God knows us so well and that the journey toward “perfection” will have love leading the way.
Can a war torn heart ever be ‘perfect’? With God all things are possible. If war has eaten a chunk out of your heart leaving pits and pock marks behind, devil attacks of nightmares, deep anger, and pain hiding in the night of your soul, know that there is healing in Jesus. He love us so much, He bore the bloody stripes on His back, the bruises of beatings, holes from thorns in His head, nails driven through hands and feet then hanging on a cross, and worst of all~ total separation from His Father when all the sin of the world came on Him. He knows suffering and the feelings of abandonment, betrayal and tears of His mother and other loved ones.
Yet Jesus forgave all His persecutors. Even when close to death in excruciating pain on the cross He told the “good thief” that He would be with Him in paradise~
Luke 23:39-43 (AMP)
39 One of the criminals who had been hanged [on a cross beside Him] kept hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us [from death]!”
40 But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 We are suffering justly, because we are getting what we deserve for what we have done; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”
42 And he was saying, “Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” 43 Jesus said to him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Jesus' death was the payment for the sin of the world~ that’s for you and me. He paid the price for our restoration to the original condition in which He created us~ we even receive God's DNA when we accept Jesus' gift. Did you know that healing is also a part of the promise? "By His stripes we were healed."
In Cast Up A Highway I talk about a cancer journey where joy reigned. When You know the Creator of the Universe on an intimate level, nothing is impossible for you. Seek His face not His hand. Spend time with Him daily talking and listening, allowing Holy Spirit to bring His Rhema Word to your understanding. The Bible is rich with His Word when Holy Spirit opens your understanding to it. He is so good!
If you don’t know Jesus as Lord of your heart, invite Him in. When He is the King whom you serve, a whole new world is unfurled before you. My friends allow His light to reach every hidden dark corner within. Find a freedom you have never before known! Discover true joy.

Dear Friends, it is my desire to share with you what the Lord speaks to me in my quiet times with Him. Holy Spirit is our teacher who was sent by the Father to teach us how to build relationship, that we might truly communicate together.
Reinhard Bonnke’s book Daily Fire speaks to this:
Communicating with God is the Christian distinction. Jesus forbade “vain repetitions” (Matthew 6:7). The disciples opened their hearts to God about everything, including their innermost feelings. They wrote letters that changed the usual good wishes and pleasantries into prayers. Paul wrote to Christians in Rome: “Without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers” (Romans 1:9). . . Some letters appear to be just extended prayers.
“If wishes were horses, beggars would ride, it is said, but the first Christians addressed wishes to the Father in the name of Jesus—and did receive! Praise God! The unbeliever wishes—the believer prays.
In the book of Acts, the soldiers and crew of a ship were in danger and “all hope that we would be saved was finally given up” (Acts 27:20).Paul prayed—and they were saved!
James prayed in the Christian way: “Pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16).
Like John writing to Gaius: “I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health” (3 John 2).
Prayer expects an answer. The unbeliever sighs, “If only…” The believer rejoices “in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:2). Today, pray… and expect Him to hear and answer!
Prayer is our powerful weapon against the enemy. I pray now: Praise You Mighty King of Kings! You are beautiful! I know this from the amazing sacrifice You made for me. You did this to save us from Satan’s hatred of You; and because I love You and You love me, he hates me too. You drew me out of his evil clutches, and now You protect me from him and all his deceitful works against me. I am healed by Your holy Word and by Your shed blood. It heals me from all the efforts of the enemy to bring harm to my body. i am healed and whole today!
As Reinhard said in His book, ‘When we pray we can expect an answer. A prayer is not a wish. It is going before our God knowing we are His child and He loves us.’
That speaks to my heart! Praying is going before God knowing He is my Daddy, I am His child, and He loves me. I can talk to Him about anything, ask Him for anything. He listens to me and answers me.
The Word in the Bible instructs us to pray.
Jude 20-21 (MSG)
But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ.
This is the unending life, the real life!
We pray about anything and everything. Our relationship with God is what makes life so much easier. We have supernatural help always within calling distance. Confused about a decision and what to do? Ask God for His help, and then listen to His answer, trust Him, and follow His advice.
James 1:5-6 (AMP)
If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting
[God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts
is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind.
As we spend time with the Lord each day building our relationship, we will find our prayer life gaining strength and belief. Our God is so loving, and He desires to provide the way for us to attain all that He has to give us. All we need do is cooperate. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, a whole new world opens. Our spirits are freed to explore the mighty life in a sprit to Spirit bond. God is all knowing and time spent with Him can be exciting and joy filled.
My friends, do not miss out on this huge blessing. Don’t allow the enemy to inflate your pride so you miss out on this new life; be willing to submit to a loving Father, for He wants only the best for you. Remember His Son died for you. Get to know Him and you will be able to trust Him. He is faithful!

My heart hurts when I see how God is treated in our world today. I hurt even more when I catch myself with words slipping out of my mouth that are of our culture instead of from God. I repent Father and ask Your forgiveness. I know better, and I am heartily sorry. We have such a wonderful loving God, and to offend Him hurts me.
Moses spoke about God with the reverence He deserves:
Deuteronomy 32:4-7 (MSG)
For it’s God’s Name I’m preaching—
respond to the greatness of our God!
The Rock: His works are perfect,
and the way he works is fair and just;
A God you can depend upon, no exceptions,
a straight-arrow God.
His messed-up, mixed-up children, his non-children,
throw mud at him but none of it sticks.
Don’t you realize it is God you are treating like this?
This is crazy; don’t you have any sense of reverence?
Isn’t this your Father who created you,
who made you and gave you a place on Earth?
We in this day have sat by silent too long. Why else is sin rampant? Babies are murdered in great numbers, sexual sins are accepted as normal, our religious liberties guaranteed by our founding documents are under serious attack, our president has peopled high positions in our government with those who do not have our nations best interest at heart. We are like those who sat by and allowed Hitler to exterminate many of Germany’s citizens~ it didn’t affect these others, so they looked away~ until it did affect them.
We have an election coming up here in the United States of America that is crucial to our nation and will affect every one of us financially and with our rights and freedoms. Our nation has dropped incredibly into huge debt in the last 8 years. Unemployment is high. Our defenses have been deliberately depleted at a time when major countries of the world are building up theirs. We sit in a risky situation and I plead with all to be praying for our country.
Pray that the people of our nation will awaken to the dangers that exist and exercise their right to vote and pray about who to vote for. Not voting is voting. We need someone who is conservative and will not follow along the liberal programs of the past administration. We need vital changes to keep our country safe and to build our nation up again.
It’s true God is in control, but He has given us the responsibility to be obedient to Him and administer His plans. Jesus said:
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jesus gave the authority to His Church (the Body of Christ), and that is us. Obedience is the key, my friends. We humbly bow before our King of Kings thanking Him for His favor over our nation and asking for it to continue.

Many of us read about and were horrified by the story of the toddler who was snatched and killed by an alligator at Disney's place. My question was~ why was there no warning sign about the danger of the presence of alligators? The terribleness of this accident still haunts me. What if it were one of my grandkids? Can you imagine going home from 'vacation' without a beloved child?
There is only one thing more petrifying to me, then an earthly tragedy, and that is the thought of a loved one dying before they have accepted Christ's salvation gift. This means they will spend forever in hell, and I will never see them again. I must post a "danger" sign today!
As I finish up the study on the last "Book" of the Bible, called Revelation, concepts flow like a river through my mind. Who do I know that has not claimed Christ prize of salvation? If one died, and I had not told them about Jesus and what He did for them, I would be responsible for their eternity of pain. I can not bear that thought.
Jesus came to save us from the clutches of satan. Our Savior died and shed His blood to redeem us. When satan deceived Adam into betraying and being disobedient to God, thus condemning himself and all his descendants [putting us under the devil’s rulership], God already had a plan to save us for Himself; but it would involve our use of free will. We each must choose who we will serve in this life: God or Satan; good or evil. That will determine with whom we will spend eternity.
God even wrote an instruction manual to show us what we must do. In it is the story of life from creation to the end of this world. The last chapter in this book, called the Bible, is all about Jesus. It reveals so much about Jesus, more than I realized. If you want to know Jesus, do not stop before doing a study of Revelation. Christ is the Faithful and True King of kings, Lord of lords! I thought I knew who He is, but after I studied this concluding ‘book’ of the Bible, I thought, “WOW! He’s even a lot bigger, a lot more than I thought!"
So who is Jesus to you? Do you know how deep is his love for you? Do you understand that He endured excruciating suffering to pay sin debt for you and me? He made it possible for us to have an intimate relationship with God. Have you yearned for a closer connection, a deeper bond with God? Do you know He has a purpose for your life? My friends, do not go another day without seeking Him and enjoying the fullness of the life He created you to live. He even will send Holy Spirit to indwell you and help you.
1 John 3:24 (AMPC)
All who keep His commandments [who obey His orders and follow His plan,
live and continue to live, to stay and] abide in Him, and He in them.
[They let Christ be a home to them and they are the home of Christ.]
And by this we know and understand and have the proof
that He [really] lives and makes His home in us:
by the [Holy] Spirit Whom He has given us.
My friends, do not allow pride to blind your inner vision to what might be God's word to you personally. Ask Him for truth.

Good morning Holy Spirit! You are my Guide, my Teacher, my Comforter. I love You. My God You are beyond my humble understanding, but what You have revealed to me is how much You love me. You created me with purpose and a plan for my life. Lead me Holy One in following Your plan to the best of my ability~ or perhaps, beyond just MY ability since You abide in me, our combined capacity will go far beyond my human capability. So lead me to do more!
Lord I depend on You for my life in every way. My health is in Your hands. I was created to live in divine health, and with the Words of the Bible i do. You are my Healer if I do become ill; Jesus said by His stripes I am healed.
Isaiah 53:5 New King James Version
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
His shed blood not only cleansed me of sin, but it also restored me to my original condition which was living in divine health as You created Adam. Jesus' blood covers me like a living shield keeping the enemy at bay~ he can do me no harm so long as I remain obedient to You, my Lord. I claim the blood of Jesus as my covering forever.
Matthew 20:28 NLV
For the Son of Man came not to be cared for.
He came to care for others.
He came to give His life so that many could be bought by His blood
and made free from the punishment of sin.”
Never O Lord will You let me go. You love me and protect me from the evil deceptions of the enemy; thus I belong to You as You belong to me. Thank You Lord for the covering You put over me and around me. I sit in confidence, because I know how much You love me. This confidence is in all I do, almost. I am still imperfect and so I do not always get it right, but You are perfect and so Your ways prevail, and I sit willingly under Your guidance.
When I err, You, Holy Spirit, are there to convict me, so I can repent and do it right. You are a good God whose love abounds seeking aways the lost ones, so You can rescue them and bring them home. Often You will use us to help. Thank You for allowing us that great privilege!
Lord, as I sit here this morning in Your heart space sharing how much I love, respect, and admire You and Your goodness; my heart snuggles into the blanket of Your love for me. My soul is at rest. Peace surrounds. I trust You completely for the day ahead.
My friends, God loves you so much! Accept the gift of Jesus; enjoy the blessings of becoming a child of God and let Him shower you with His love!
1 Peter 1:2 NLV
You were chosen by God the Father long ago.
He knew you were to become His children.
You were set apart for holy living by the Holy Spirit.
May you obey Jesus Christ and be made clean by His blood.
May you be full of His loving-favor and peace.

There You were Lord, my God, deciding to cast forth Your love like a fisherman casts out his net, but You brought forth creations of Your enormous love. Your boundless might created universes, and within our universe, You spoke forth Your word and made earth. Upon it You caused to come forth light.
Genesis 1:14 (AMP)
Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years; 15 and let them be useful as lights in the expanse of the heavens to provide light on the earth”; and it was so, [just as He commanded].
16 God made the two great lights—the greater light (the sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night; He made the [galaxies of] stars also [that is, all the amazing wonders in the heavens]. 17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to provide light upon the earth, 18 to rule over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good and He affirmed and sustained it.
And then You formed a beautiful world with flora and fauna to delight the soul. And You peopled it with creatures of wonder whom You smiled upon. You loved them and gave them a beautiful garden home.
then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. 8 And the Lord God planted a garden (oasis) in the east, in Eden (delight, land of happiness); and He put the man whom He had formed (created) there. 9 And [in that garden] the Lord God caused to grow from the ground every tree that is desirable and pleasing to the sight and good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the [experiential] knowledge (recognition) of [the difference between] good and evil.
But alas, Your ancient enemy betrayer snuck into the garden as a serpent and lied and deceived the man of Your heart. Satan caused him to disobey and betray the love You had poured upon him. Sadly, first man (and woman) were driven out of this garden paradise and the guilt of his betrayal tainted his very blood. Satan laughed and rejoiced at this strike against God.
As mankind reproduced, the tainted blood carried the betrayal subjecting mankind to the continual taunting, temptations and evil of the devil. But God had a plan to redeem His beloved people. Since a man broke faith with God, it was a God-man that was required to redeem the human race. God loved His people so much he sent Jesus, His beloved Son, to earth for the task. Lovingly Jesus traded His place in heaven for that of a human being on earth. Jesus was eager to begin His mission, but He was held back to grow in wisdom and learn until at age thirty His public ministry began.
Jesus chose 12 men to help Him and these men He taught and trained for three years. But He was such a threat to the evil hierarchy that even though He was totally innocent, they captured, tortured and crucified Jesus. Innocent Jesus in pure love for us subjected Himself, God-man, to this torture and death to pay for our redemption. Then in three days He rose from the dead overcoming satan’s evil completely; yes He even defeated death.
When we accept the gift~ that Jesus paid our sin debt for us by His shed blood~ we are reborn as children of God. Our whole DNA changes and we become new creatures, true children of our Heavenly Father. We once again belong to Him, and all heaven rejoices over us.
2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
But Jesus was not done. He promised to send the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, to all who believe and trust in Him. When we invite Him in, our loving Holy Spirit dwells within us to help us become whom our Creator made us to be. He continues Christ’s mission of teaching us more about our Father and the loving relationship we can have with Him, and much more. He works with us individually with whatever we need to become full of the love God pours out to us.
John 14:16-17 (AMP)
Role of the Spirit
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.
My friends, God put a potential, a mission within each of us, and then He sends Holy Spirit to help us so we can attain the purpose that He installed within us. This enormous love for us is beyond our ability to understand, but we get clues to it from the Word of God.
The Bible is a love story of God for His people. Many things that happen in the Bible are beyond our ability to fully understand. Somethings we, in our human limitations, would not judge as love, but God’s thoughts are so far above ours that it is no wonder we fail to see it. Just do not make the mistake of putting God in some kind of box where you get to judge Him. Then He would not be God. Would you be judged by an ant? a mosquito? Just know He loves you. He is faithful, and He is trustworthy.
It seems incredible to me that The Creator of the universe would care for me. I am like an ant in an ant hill. But my God knows me as an individual, my likes, my strengths, my dislikes, my weaknesses; He knows my heart. I can hide nothing from Him. He loves me just as I am. He loves you that way too. Come experience the wonder of a warm personal love relationship with the Creator of the universe! Choose to accept Jesus' gift to you!

What are God's laws of life?
They are His directions on leading a good happy life. They are the Ten Commandments and Jesus boiled them down to Two Commandments: Love God with your whole heart and your whole soul and love your neighbor as yourself. But to understand we must know more details of the Ten Commandments God gave first:
Exodus 20:1-17 (NIV), The Ten Commandments
And God spoke all these words:
2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, [from Message Version]I’m a most jealous God, punishing the children for any sins their parents pass on to them to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation of those who hate me
6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Here is the Message version. I like the clarity of this version for today:
7 No using the name of God, your God, in curses or silly banter; God won’t put up with the irreverent use of his name.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
God gave us these laws not so He could tell us what to do, but so that we could live in harmony with God, our fellow man/women, and ourselves. It is because He loves us so much that He desires to help us to be whom He created us to be.
For us it’s a matter in choosing whom we will serve. Will it be the world and it’s culture as belonging to the enemy, or will it be God who created the earth in beauty for us to live in, and to enjoy getting to know Him and growing to love Him as He loves us. Let's compare them:
1] God loves us
The devil hates us
2] God sent Jesus to redeem us.
The devil tries to entrap us in evil
3] God sends Holy Spirit to guide, guard and lead us.
The devil sends lies and deceptions to mislead us
4] God brings comfort in sorrow.
Devil sends demons to torment us.
5] God has planned a glorious eternity of joy for us
Devil has planned an eternity of hatred and pain for us.
Which choice sounds good to you? On earth the world abounds in fleshly pleasures of all kinds. These may seem like fun, but they end up in degradation and despoiling of man’s highest nature. To live under the discipline of God is to become all that we are created to be; it’s fulfilling the purpose God put within each of us. It will give our lives meaning and the joy of accomplishment.
It also enables a close relationship with our Creator. It is like the “walking in the garden together” discussing things with God and enjoying each other’s company. This kind of companionship is the kind of bond that can develop between us and God. He is always with us and promises to never fail us.
. . . for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support.
[I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
Remember Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to indwell us, and He is God, and He loves us too. Holy Spirit, working in us, is a powerful force and connection with God. What can you do when you have God revealing His plan for your life, and then helping you to do the work He requires for that good plan to be fulfilled! Oh my goodness! What more can we ask?
[to be continued]

Good morning my marvelous Lord! You who created this magnificent universe and this world in it! Thank You! The wonderful plan You began thousands of years ago is still running, like a movie. Only YOU know how it ends; but You have given us clues like a treasure map hidden in a book called the Bible. We also call it “the Word” or the “Living Word”. Why is it called that?
A clue is found in the Book of John Chapter One:
John 1:1-15 (AMPC)
1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ),
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
2 He was present originally with God.
3 All things were made and came into existence through Him;
and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.
4 In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.
5 And the Light shines on in the darkness,
for the darkness has never overpowered it
[put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
6 . . .
9. . .
12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—
13 Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]
14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.
Jesus is “the Word”, the "Living Word". It’s a clue wrapped in a mystery. In the Bible, the Word of God, there is all truth. There is also life for us. The Bible is actually an Instruction Manual on how to live life to the fullest and best. Any who choose to study it and follow it’s guide (who is Jesus who sends us Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity) will have advantage over others in the world.
Ah, yes, another mystery wrapped up in the words of the Bible. The Holy Spirit is God. Our entire Godhead is made up of three Persons. I sorta see it~ to help me get a glimmer of understanding I look at us: we are made in God’s image and likeness and we are made up of soul, spirit and body ~ three parts. Our soul has three parts: mind, will and emotions. Not one part is the sum and substance of who we are, but put together we are wholly ourselves.
God Himself is so far above us that we’ll never on this earth fully understand who He is. But the Word of God teaches us a lot about Him and His character. God the Father sent God the Son to be born upon the earth as a human being so that He could teach us about the Father, and so He could perform the ultimate sacrifice to cleanse the human race of the sin nature; this we inherited from Adam, original man, through his blood coursing down through the centuries.
Adam sinned against God by turning against God; he allowed himself to be deceived and believed God’s enemy Satan. In so doing Adam condemned us all to live and be influenced by the devil’s evil ways. All the beauty God put in man was tainted by evil.
But God the Father refused to let His beloved children go. So He had a plan to save us all. The only way to mitigate this sin of man against God was to have a God-man pay the sin debt. Jesus, Son of God, second person of the Holy Trinity loves mankind also and agreed to leave His home in Heaven, and come to live on earth as a human man.
Jesus became the God-man capable of removing the stain of sin from mankind. In so doing, He made it possible for mankind to once again have an intimate relationship with the Godhead. Jesus cleansed the blood of man with His shed blood; so any person who accepts Jesus’ gift of redemption has their blood cleansed of the stain of that original sin, and become actual children of God rather than children of the devil.
John 8:44 (NKJV)
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Now once cleansed, does that mean we never sin again? No, we are human and thus imperfect. Yet we are redeemed, so our life from salvation on is a gift of growing and learning how to be more perfect. God loves us so much He does not leave us to our own devices to figure it out, Hesends the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit to actually live in us:
John 14:26 [AMP]
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby),
the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name
[in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf],
He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall
(will remind you of, bring to your remembrance)
everything I have told you.
Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to indwell us. Jesus as a man cannot be everyplace at once, but the Holy Spirit can. He can indwell as many as invite Him in to help. So we end up having God Himself living in us as our teacher and guide. What more do we need?
Remember that there are three persons in God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who together make up the Godhead. See, another mystery wrapped up in words. But do not get tangled up in the mysteries, rather focus on the main truth. God loves us, created us to love and serve Him on this earth and to be happy with Him in heaven. Overall, that simple catechism answer is the whole truth.
God loves you just as you are. Once you choose to get to know Him, seek Him with your whole heart, He will reveal Himself to you and bring you to where you need to be. He makes it easy not difficult. We make it difficult by not trusting Him, and by being disobedient to His laws of life.
What are God’s laws of life?

Scent of coffee greeted us as we entered my sister and brother-in-law's home. Hugs warmly shared; happy words of sincere delight in seeing each other again sparkled in the air.
They led us down to their beautiful patio with its flowers and wonderful mountain view across a golf course. The setting was a display of God’s love for us. A doorbell called to announce the arrival of one more sibling and spouse. More delight and hugs. It's a rare occasion these days when we can gather together. My dear sis and husband did a beautiful job as hosts in their lovely home. And my sister knows my dietary restrictions and went out of her way to cook special dishes that I could fully enjoy! That’s love!
The enemy is after destroying families and relationships. But God knows how to be present and create an atmosphere of love, and He did that yesterday. It was a jovial time with my sisters' sharing of their recent visit to Peru with fun and funny experiences. We laughed a lot and totally enjoyed our time together!
In contrast to our peace filled loving visit, if we look at the news of the world and all the killing and mayhem, one can surly observe satan’s hatred. He has his men of ISIS working to exterminate Christians in brutal fashions. Finally it is beginning to be recognized by world organizations as genocide, and hopefully action will be taken against ISIS. Then there is the more recent brutal attack in France. But one does not have to travel that far to see the enemy’s work.
Family relationships are targeted by the enemy, and many families have rifts in them. It comes through the enemy’s evil deceptions and lies that people believe; then hurt and unforgiveness erupts, and this alone is responsible for many relationship disruptions. The result often affects the children in the family, as the hurt spreads and creates disunity. Breaking a family is one of satan’s favorite tools.
But God will have the victory. God works through men and women like us to bring truth and victory. Look at Acts 26:
Acts 26:17-18 The Message
‘I’m sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders
so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light,
see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God.
I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven,
and a place in the family, inviting them into the company
of those who begin real living by believing in me.’
Jesus has given us a part in redeeming the world. We each have our own little patch of earth to till and plant, water and harvest~ our own contacts, friends, relatives, strangers God will bring across our paths. As we live life serving Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our lives shine with His brightness, and it is noticed by those we meet. Living right in His joy and light draws others to us. Saw a phrase the other day~ be a “fire lighter’. Think about lighting the fire of God's love and forgiveness in others.
My friends, God loves us all so much! We can bask in His love and soak it in like a sponge. Then when we encounter people it seeps out refreshing them with the anointing love of God. His love so emanates peace and stillness, joy and gladness. Are you sharing Jesus love and truth with your loved ones?
Do you invite strangers into the Kingdom? Holy Spirit will give you the words if you ask. He is your partner in this work!

“Whenever this happens, my heart stops—
I’m stunned, I can’t catch my breath.
Listen to it!
Listen to his thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of his voice.
He lets loose his lightnings from horizon to horizon,
lighting up the earth from pole to pole.
In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, powerful and majestic.
He lets out all the stops, he holds nothing back.
No one can mistake that voice— His word thundering so wondrously,
his mighty acts staggering our understanding.
He orders the snow, ‘Blanket the earth!’
and the rain, ‘Soak the whole countryside!’
No one can escape the weather—it’s there.
And no one can escape from God. . . .
It’s God’s breath that forms the ice,
it’s God’s breath that turns lakes and rivers solid.
And yes, it’s God who fills clouds with rainwater
and hurls lightning from them every which way. . . .
Whether for discipline or grace or extravagant love,
He makes sure they make their mark.
Job 37:5-6 MSG
Sometimes the Message Version of the Bible will really inspire me. Look at these verses above. This is a God totally engaged in His Creation! Our God loves us so extravagantly that He will do whatever is necessary to help us develop into the person He ordained us to become.
Some might say, “Ok. That’s nice, but what about this problem i have with my rebellious child? It’s not an earthshaking problem, but it sure makes my household life difficult. It’s a heavy burden about to crack my back.” or “I just lost my job. How am I suppose to pay the mortgage?” We all have burdens in life, and the Scripture above demonstrates the grandness of our God; but on another side, Jesus tender love for us is shown in John 17 in the Bible where Jesus has a chat with His Father about us
Then we notice Who Jesus promised us~ [ The Spirit of Truth ]
John 14:16-17 (MSG)
“If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you.
I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend
so that you will always have someone with you.
This Friend is the Spirit of Truth.
The godless world can’t take him in
because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for.
But you know him already because he has been staying with you,
and will even be in you!
John 14:16 (AMP)
[ Role of the Spirit ] And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby),
to be with you forever—
Holy Spirit fulfills all those roles for us. We just go to Him handing Him our situation and let Him bring it out right. He’ll give us the wisdom and the Words to say. Whatever the situation needs. . . My friends, life can be easier and more peaceful when we understand the graciousness of our God and His desire to help us.
Holy Spirit will be a huge benefit for each of us as the world continues on its current downward spin; life could get more burdensome especially for believers. Paris is an example of how the enemy is running amok going after every soul it can acquire; he attacks us to try to make us doubt, fear and stumble; he really pursues those in offices of authority. That’s why we are told in the Book of Timothy to pray for our leaders. The devil has his human slaves like ISIS to plan evil against us, to persecute and to kill God’s people.
1 John 2:13-14 (MSG)
And a second reminder, dear children:
You know the Father from personal experience.
You veterans know the One who started it all;
and you newcomers—such vitality and strength!
God’s word is so steady in you.
Your fellowship with God enables you to gain a victory over the Evil One.
We know when we spend time in the Word and it becomes steady in us, we are the Victors through Christ and His shed blood. We focus our eyes on Him and tune our ears to hear His Word, for our God will lead us to eternal victory. My friends, turn to God and get to know Him on a personal level! He loves you and will help you, comfort you, bring you an inner peace that no fear can displace. Submit your heart to God and see how great your strength becomes! If your heart is already submitted, share Him with others!
SEARCHING FOR A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD
SEARCHING FOR A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD
Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.
Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.
Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)
13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!
- Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.
Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!
Psalm 91:14 (AMP)
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].
Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)
Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!
Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:
O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.
3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
5 You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!
7 I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there.
9 If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.
You are always with me.
You will guide me.
You will always be my support. Your strength
upholds me, protects me, supports me.
Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
